I understand not all birth plans go as planned. I do would’ve appreciated a little more clarification with the rules of renting a room at this facility.. we didn’t get to give birth in the centre, we still used the shower. It just doesn’t justify the full amount.. hoping someone will have a better experience. Just tell them to clarify rules for the facility and that you understand them before you decide.

I had my second baby with Kathleen and her and the team were incredible! To feel empowered and confident in our birth decisions and through our time of care was really important to me. She educated me and I left feeling confident but sad I was done my care! Thank-you so much Kathleen and the team!

I can't imagine a better support structure for having a child. Both the midwives and the facility do everything they possibly can to make your journey a special one. We were so happy!

As a former hospital employee and medic, I'm so glad I had the option of having a midwife. I was able to control and/or have a say in every aspect of my pregnancy and birth. My midwives were amazing and so supportive. I only ever hear the bad parts of people having hospital births and after working sanitation in a hospital I'm so grateful that my pregnancy was low risk and I didn't have to step foot in one (no disrespect to any nurses or doctors). I was able to decide literally every aspect of my birthing process and I wouldn't have had that option at all without my midwives and the Lucina birthing centre.

Really lovely staff, very thorough and attentive. The facility is also beautiful. It is sad that not all pregnant women can be treated with such excellent care, but if you can get in, you are likely to have an excellent experience!
