Such a great campsite, very neat and tidy, everything was very clean, the pool and hot tub were lovely, sites are very large and well treed for privacy, we were camped well away from the highway, we’ve been across Canada and this is one of the best sites we’ve stayed at. A very well managed campground which made our stay so enjoyable. A+ for sure.

That is an outright lie. It’s a very valid credit card and we used the wrong one. We offered to give our other credit card, and were told we aren’t a right fit? Because a card didn’t work? Not because it’s false credit info? Why on earth would someone give you false credit info? So no, you’re wrong and denied a family a camping spot when we wanted to pay with another card or cash: super weird and rude and if nothing else discriminatory. I don’t care how long you have been open for. We would have been potential campers for years to come as it’s a big reason we moved north: I will not have my name tarnished and have weird people spew lies saying we tried to pay with a false credit card. Unreal. It’s huge red flags for us. Not you. We definitely know to stay away from this park. We won’t let this ruin our adventure north and I’m sure we will find a park who doesn’t discriminate if a card declines and you have to use a different card. I’ve worked in many service industry positions and never in my life at any position would I ever or even have been allowed to turn someone away because a card declined and they offered to pay another way. It’s cruel and has left us between a rock and hard place with two kids in row excited to camp. I was not going to just let that go.

We stopped here for 2 nights. Location is great, within a few kilometres from Kakabeka Falls (a must see if you’re touring the area!) and about a half hour from the Thunder Bay core. The park itself is just kind of “meh”, although we were happy to have a pull through spot with hook ups, sewage and 50amp service. Facilities were decent and clean. Owners were friendly. A very mediocre experience!

Stayed one night October 2021. Last minute reservation was not a problem. Quick check in. We’re 70’ over all. Park roads were a bit tight but doable. They gave us a nice site (#47) long enough we could stay hooked to. Nice people in the park. Very quiet.

Our truck broke down while travelling through Thunder Bay. The owners have done everything they can to help us during this difficult time. We are at mercy of the dealership and have no idea how long they will have our vehicle for. They have been great which has made the whole situation a lot less stressful for us and my elderly mother in law who is traveling with us. We will definitely be back as we travel through Thunder Bay a couple times a year

Lovely, quiet, clean campsite with everything we need. Bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities are large and immaculate. Full service sites and unlike the provincial sites, where you require long power cords of 100 feet or more. Perfect for our SUV, teardrop camper and 12x12 screen tent ❤️

This is the 3rd summer we have stayed at happyland campground and we love it. There is all the amenities that you need here. The showers, washrooms, laundry facilities etc. are all clean and well kept. There is a very nice pool and gift shop too. If you need groceries or anything else, The village of Kakabeka is right around the corner. This campground is very clean and can accommodate large rigs as well. It's definitely hard to please everyone, but there ARE rules to follow and it is the way it is. Some of the reviews I've read are a bit harsh, and people need to remember that this park is a BIG job. There are rules in place for a reason. Yes we broke a couple without realizing, and the owner came over and told us, to which we rectified asap. People need to calm down and have patience and be respectful. The park is beautiful and quiet. Kindness goes a long way, and I think the owners are doing a great job! Love it here, and will be back next year.

This is a gem of a full service camp ground that has mature trees that accommodated our 37 ft 5th wheel with easy. The facilities are well maintained. Whether just looking to relax, or take day trips the camp ground is wonderfully situated between The Falls and Lake Superiour. Close to amenitie. We found our stay peaceful and relaxing.
