Michael was extremely knowledgeable about the product I was looking for. He was also very friendly and patient as I tried to remember my old MEC account information. I highly recommend this MEC location! I had a great experience shopping here. The online shipping fees are quite expensive unless you meet the minimum requirement, so I recommend you go in store and check it out!

My husband and I love to hike, camp and do other outdoor activities. We love MEC for all our gear needs. It may be a bit expensive but they stand behind their products. If there is ever anything wrong with the product, we have always been given an exchange or store credit which we always use.

My bike chain broke during a ride and walked my bike over to MEC to see what they could do to help. The technicians there were super friendly and took care of my bike right away with a new chain and even explained how I can avoid it from happening as much in the future.

Over the last 8 months MEC has always been the first place I’d go to for anything outdoorsy. Their staff is never there for you to sell something you’d regret, and this has been proven to me multiple times when I was getting things I needed for hiking, kayaking, and running.Up until recently I never thought that MEC also has a great bike selection and not only they know everything but they will be there if you are getting used to your bike and need help adjusting and fixing anything. Here I bought the bike I dreamed of for a very great price thanks to advice of Steven from the North York shop, and the expert bike technicians on Queen dealt with the aftermath of my falls by fixing the chain ring when everyone else said I needed a full replacement, as well as replacing cable for my malfunctioning rear derailleur. 10/10 and so far probably the best service you’d get in Toronto!

Tried to buy a bike helmet. The store looks like a pig stay. All items are mixed on the shelves, no prices, no sizes. It's just impossible to find an item you are looking for and know the price. I asked a salesperson to help me. That guy just told me that other customers mixed all helmets on the shelf. It was all his assistance. Nothing else!The next guy just told me that everything they have is on the shelf and I have to check it myself.When I asked two of them to check their inventory in computer they responded that it is not their responsibility and I have to order online.And now the main part: this level of service you get in the store with bike helmets (which is actually a piece of plastic) for $170 and $250!They don't even try selling... I'm shocked...Finally I bought it in Canadian Tire for $75!!!I cannot understand how guys you are still in business with your attitude?

We went to MEC to get our first pair of hiking shoes. The staff were friendly and explained what to look out for, in a no-pressure atmosphere. We were especially appreciative to Amy. She was super helpful and patient as we tried different shoes. She also advised about suitable socks to go along. Because of this, we felt confident in our choices and left happy. Overall a most pleasant experience!

Much appreciation to Dale in the bicycle section for trueing a wheel for me in a record one hour! I really appreciate that because it saved me a return trip in the hot summer sun. The work was done well, and the service was kind and helpful. I'll happily come back for future bike repairs.

First visit since MEC moved its flagship Toronto store and it was a good one. Nice to see shelves well stocked and excellent variety of products in every category. Most of the staff kept to themselves and didn’t talk us but Kudos to Phillip who did. Good to see someone cared about customer service! The store itself is well laid out, but could use some signage to find the washrooms. I was hoping the climbing wall feature would have been retained but they went for a smaller bouldering wall.
