Sandbox Studios

The studio space is incredible! It was my first time coming here and it was the perfect space for creating film/photo content. If anyone is looking for a studio space, it's a great atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend! <3

Been regularly booking here since 2020 and always happy to be back. Sandbox will always be one of my favourite studios in Toronto as some of my best projects happened in this space. 10/10 recommend, especially for anyone looking for that all white space or something that's versatile to transform.

This place is absolutely unprofessional. The owner ‘Rookz’ has not given me my security deposit back from OVER A MONTH AGO. He said they have a technical error with their bank. However, that is a lie. They don’t ever pick up any phone calls even though it says they do on mondays. He has continuously apologized to me and had no explanation as to how I will get my money back. As the owner he should be going into his own pockets and paying people back. He told me straight up that this has happened to EVERY CLIENT that booked in November. That means they have robbed over $1000 worth of deposits! I am going to sue them soon if I don’t receive my money back. This is the most poorly run studio in all of Toronto. There were holes in the walls everywhere and black scratch marks. Not a good place whatsoever.

sandbox studios is easily the best studio i’ve attended. The pricing is unmatched, and the experience is just as good. Staff are very friendly, studio is very clean, equipment is pretty good, and overall a fun environment. I have been to this studio several times and it is always a great experience. highly recommend.

I want to make everyone aware of the fact that this studio LACKS customer service, and clearly doesn't value their customers. It has been nearly a month since my session was cancelled due to a flood, and I still have not received a REFUND. There is no way to truly contact this organization, and I am extremely frustrated after not hearing back from them for weeks, after they had promised I would be refunded.

I had purchased the night owl session for my boyfriend. The studio apparently got flooded which we received an email for. We have been emailing the studio and the owner for about 2 weeks now and no refund or sign of a refund. I am truly disappointed with the services and customer service experience. I had called and emailed to receive a refund but no had picked up (made sure I called on Monday’s too), and emailed about 6 different times now. I have noticed there are other reviews that have not received a refund which is very disappointing to hear. The customer service team is truly nowhere to be found for this studio.

I've worked in Studio 2 a couple of times now, and will no doubt return. It's great value. Location is amazing as well, there is parking - everything is automated and clearly described. Communication is great - and to add to that the Owner went out of her way to accommodate me! She saw I was worried about my shoot day, spoke to me and made arrangements so that I could do my project. If you're self-reliant and can organize your own production, this space is a GREAT option. For someone like me that shoots often I know a fair price and great customer service when I see it.

This was our first time in the studio and Eyes made my daughter very comfortable. He's very talented. The atmosphere of the business is great. Staff is very friendly, Lex made us very comfortable from the moment we walked in. Keep up the great work and we will see you soon.

Booked the 9 hour session with them from 12am-9am which I’ve done a few times before but this time I was running a few minutes late due to a family situation. Regardless upon arrival I rang the doorbell multiple times with no answer. There’s no number to call & any email I’ve previously sent in the past with previous issues still hasn’t been replied to. Was looking forward to this session & now I drove all the way from the west to the east only to stand out in the freezing cold in the middle of the night & have my attempts of ringing the doorbell for entry ignored. I then had to drive all the way back home in the west Very disappointed! Still haven’t received any type of response 12 hours later. Will update review as necessary
