Vintage Tonewheel Restorations
Mike is great and I would recommend him to anyone looking for an amp repair guy. My amp is not vintage but it is an expensive and essential part of my playing. It got damaged during a load out and I wanted it repaired properly. Unfortunately, the part needed was not standard but Mike took the time to find the supplier and had it fixed within a week for a very reasonable rate. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the quick turn around.

Michael is a professional.He responded to my e-mails almost immediatley. I have a Peavy XXX that needed a once-over" and new Tubes.The job was done before the agreed finish date (5days) which i was worried about due to supply issues. He told me how old my existing tubes were and how they were performing (only 50watts on a 100watt head). The replacment Tubes have truely made the Amp sound better in every tonal aspect. BIGWarm Chug!!!!And the price

I took my sons guitar amp to the local music store in hopes to get it fixed. They referred us to Vintage Tonewheel Restorations and what a great experience it was. We took the amp to Mike and he was able to to fix the issue in a timely manner at a decent price and gave us a full report of what was happening with the amp. Impressed with our first experience with Mike, I took him an Ernie Ball MusicMan Sterling bass that had all kinds of grounding issues. He was able to fix it! I am happy we found this place and will be coming to him for help when we need it. Mike went above and beyond with both items and we definitely recommend!

Vintage Tonewheel Restorations
Mike is nothing less than extraordinary at what he does. I have a 90's Marshall that had issues that defied logic, anyone else would have wrote the amp off and said find a new one. The amp now works great and sounds far better than it did. I'd recommend Mike's services to anyone with vacuum tube equipment that needs serviced or repaired.

I am so very happy that Micheal was able to come and fix my Clavinova! It's a 1980 model but still a nice piece of equipment. It tipped over when I moved and the keys were not able to go up. And down due to a indentation on the frame. He made a house call and knew exactly what to do! I'm so happy I can teach my daughter to play now. Great man. Unique skill set.

I had Mike fix some vintage amps. One needed a complete overhaul of the old components, the other some safety updates and a tune up. He did excellent work and his quotes were right in line with what he originally told me. Very pleased with the service!

Just wanted to say that mike went all out To get my vintage Thunder Guild amp back to its former glory. The power tubes were very rare but mike managed to find them in the states.The amp sounds fantastic and would highly recommend mike. Thanks.

Vintage Tonewheel Restorations
I brought Mike a Mesa I bought off of Reverb.com. He installed the tubes, ran a full functionality test to ensure it was in working condition, fixed a switch and had it back to me very quickly! Great price too! I feel a lot safer buying used gear when I know VTR can take a better look at it, and fix it if need be. Will be using VTR again 100%

Great service and bedside manner. Michael loves what he does and it shows in his work. He's a master at making things that hum quiet, and is knowledgeable and extremely respectful of the integrity of vintage gear. That alone is difficult to find around these parts. Highly recommended.
