Dr. Derek Lewis is fantastic!!

Worst dentist, and human being of life. Avoid at all costs.Only gave a 5 star because it wouldn’t let me put 0.

From my first visit to a dentist as a young boy with a mouthful of cavities, until today, four root canals later, I have spent plenty of time in dentist’s chairs. I have moved often as well, requiring me to find new dentists wherever I travel. Long story short: I have experienced many dentists.I first went to see doctor Lewis on the recommendation of a friend. I discovered that, if you prefer, he has the ability to repair simple fillings without the need for “freezing”. I am as averse to pain as anyone, but have not experienced any pain during procedures with doctor Lewis, with and without dental anesthesia. I can only interpret this as a testament to his exceptional skill.Dr. Lewis takes the time to explain procedures, options and costs in a way you can fully understand, whether you have full dental coverage or are a starving student, all in an affable manner.I now travel considerable distance to see Dr. Lewis as his practice moved to a different city. I pass many fine dentists enroute. I suspect he will soon become one of those dentists with whom obtaining an appointment is challenging because his roster is too full. I am comforted knowing my 4 year old daughter is under his care.

Excellent professionals

Dentist was great office staff was incompetent. You give them your benefits information and 3 years later they put it on your credit report because they failed to process it to your benefits correctly. This is their incompetency and should be their liability. I paid for benefits for a reason. I shouldn't have to pay for benefits and service that would have been covered by benefits had their staff just done their job!!!I wouldn't recommend going unless you're paying up front. I would have and then submit to my benefits myself if I knew this was going to happen but I've never even received a bill.

Unfortunately, I fell ill the day of my appointment and the office cancelled me altogether. I was willing to pay the fee....

Had my chipped tooth fixed down in Toronto. 5 years later I am in the Sudbury location for a cleaning and it came right off. They fixed it.. lasted a year and they had to go it again. Took this guy 3 attempts to fix it again. Now 3 months later going into a business meeting in Vancouver and it falls right out. Unbelievable!! Not impressed

I tried to book an appointment to get two cavities fixed, I told them I can barely eat at this point but then want me to pay for a cleaning, x-rays, total mouth care and cleaning before even thinking about fixing my cavities. I Explained to then that I can barely eat but they did not care at all. I will have to find a new dentist now and still cannot chew. Thanks guys I appreciate the help....or lack there of
