Ardmore Golf Course
This course was well kept and maintained. The greens were very fast as I'm sure they're not watering them much. Some tee boxes smelled of urine and empty alchohol containers. The price was a little high for overall experience. Why does no one pick up their tee after their shot? Tee boxes are nice other than they're a graveyard of broken tees.I'd go back, but probably not for a while.

5 stars for nostalgia and 3.5 stars for pure golf experience. If you need Augusta-like conditions to play, don’t come to Ardmore. But if you like to swing the clubs, have fun and not mortgage your house, it’s worth a shot.This is one of Victoria’s best golf values. While the goat-track reputation of the fairways is pretty well deserved (they become mudflats in spring) the greens are surprisingly good and hold their line well compared to many other munis. The tee box mats leave something to be desired (many are tilted / unlevel) and yardage markers on them would help make things better for occasional players.

Aug 9 UPDATE response to owner response: Not likely at all! I've heard that refrain before... Whatever!______________________________My absolute last time here! Course is ok, but I am continually disappointed by the lack of course supervision, lax staff attitude, and particularly by that older staffer dude who continues to smoke near the building. 2 years ago I complained about him in and out of the club house grabbing a smoke and dragging the stink around with him. Today, as 19 of us were enjoying a beer on the clearly designated No Smoking" patio

EASILY one of the friendliest golf facilities on the island. Ardmore is in the best shape it has ever been in.... Like ever. It's the best deal in town AND its a blast to play. My happy place. Axle is a true professional and has wonderful staff around him.

Great course. Greens were mint. Staff was awesome. Strongbows were cold. Hank approves. Took 4 hours walking. Definitely coming back.

Hope you like playing 9 holes in 3 hours..Only good if you want to walk around, drink beer in the sunshine and occasionally hit a golf ball.

Took us over 6 hours to play a 18, asked a couple of the locals and they said that was normal for this course.. over 80$ with a cart to play and absolutely no features to impress. You might as well play cedar hill for the best bang for your buck.. a lot of the tee boxes are more like sand traps. Club house seems more like a roady bar..Not worth the time or money for proper golf

Just a great little 9/18 hole course. Probably the best 9 hole on the south island. Fairways and greens are in great shape. Undulating greens make for some tough putts.
