Fantastic area for hikes. We have been during all seasons and it is beautiful there. Many different hike options for all ages. There is a beautiful pole structure to sit on for snacks. Thee is a lookout over the river. See something new every time we go.

We love going there. Every seasons has something special to offer. The Jonny lookout trail is our favorite.It's easy to access it and to find.

Well signed path with maps and guides to follow. Both east and west loops are worth hiking around.

Went to see the dam and trail but it was crazy icy for kids. Looking forward to going back in the summer. Looks like a great education spot!Went back in early November 2022 when the weather was 20 degrees! Perfect day for a hike. We did the 1.2km trail. Very Rocky but fun to do. Our four year old son did amazing with some help. Gorgeous look out at the top.

Great outdoor adventure spot. Trails at this time are a bit icy particularly on the hills. Dead trees that are ready to fall over might pose a risk to human health. Other than that, we found the trails to be quite enjoyable.

What a wonderful gem of a place for a relaxing hike with some good hills to get the heart going! The leaves are beautiful right now though the red leaves have already dropped. This was my first time here and I'll be back again.

Shaw Woods Outdoor Education Centre
Lovely place for an outdoor walk - get a map at the sign just at the entrance and there are trails on either side of the main road. I believe there are bathrooms available in the summer. It is pretty well maintained and am easy hike. Less stroller friendly due to some rocks and roots sticking up in the park. Access is free!

Great place to learn and to get outside 100% would recommend. If your going to the east side there is a place to cross if you head south from the parking lot
