I exchanged a number of emails with one representative (Caitlin), who seems happy to help set us up with a viewing for homes we were interested on. On the morning before the viewing, an agent called from their office to confirm that we would be there at the arranged time, day and location. We arrived a few minutes early for our viewing, and no one from the company showed up. Ended up waiting around for 30 minutes before giving up and heading home. Of course, this was after their office was closed, so no one picked up the phone or responded to an email inquiring if the agent was running late.I had at first assumed something came up with the leasing agent, and was trying to be understanding that things can happen. But the company avoided my calls and emails afterwards, and never reached back out with an apology for missing a viewing with no explanation or to reschedule. I assume now that they rented the unit and were too unprofessional to cancel the booking and instead of apologizing chose to rudely ignore me. Very disappointed.

Cam and his team have always been professional, responsive and dedicated to finding good tenants and managing my property in downtown Kingston. I recommend them highly. Five stars for the service they have provided over the last several years.

I never had any issues and received good service throughout my time with Heron Property. Any issues that I raised were responded to and dealt with promptly. Overall, a very good experience renting with Heron.

Currently live here and it is a disaster. Mold in the bathroom that is actually disgusting, something brown leaking from the fan in the bathroom and it smells nasty. This has continuously happened off and on. Currently using an umbrella every-time I use the washroom so the nasty liquid doesn't drip on me. Takes forever for maintenance to actually solve a problem even when it is a health and safety concern. These issues are constantly brought up as well.

Heron Management managed our 22-unit apartment building for a number of years (until we sold it in 2021). The building was extremely well maintained, the vacancy rate was negligible, and Heron Management effectively dealt with any problems that arose. The accounting reports were accurate, easy to interpret and made income tax filings quite simple. I highly recommend them.

Excellent kingston living experience! I rented from Heron Management for the past 11 months and it has been a pleasant, head-ache free period (rare as a tenant renting in an unfamiliar city). The build quality of my unit was excellent, the unit was clean and tidy when I moved in, the management was friendly and responsive and showed that they truly care about their properties and clients. In 11-months, the only issue I had was my dishwasher breaking and immediately Heron Management investigated the problem and fixed it right away with no hassle. In summary, I am a satisfied customer and would recommend them to anyone!

Not professional. As soon as I moved in I was left on my own. It turned out that they were hired only to rent the apartment to me.

Heron Management have been a great first landlord company for me. My apartment had a lot of historic charm complete with new furnishings to make a very comfortable living space. Signing the contract was easy and uncomplicated, and all the staff members were very personable towards me. Heron Management was easy to contact, and always followed up with conversations I started about concerns or any problems with the rental unit. I felt safe and secure renting from Heron Management, there was never any worry about agreements falling through or unexpected changes taking place. The photos of the apartment's listing were pretty accurate and reliable. I had a bit of an issue with mice as the property was old, but Heron Management were quick to put measures in place to manage the problem so I didn't have to get my hands dirty. They were a great landlord service for students and young professionals. I will definitely be looking into renting from Heron Management again soon.
