I went here for a haircut just after my second kiddo was born. The girl who cut my hair was very nice, but I had asked for a long layered hair cut and she ended up cutting it very blunt at the end. When I asked for more layers throughout the hair, as my hair can get quite heavy, she did feather the ends but did not do the layers as requested. The atmosphere was nice, clean and professional. Staff were very friendly. But as I didn't have a good haircut unfortunately I won't be revisiting.

I am really disappointed with my experience at this salon and am providing a review to hopefully help others looking for a salon in Carleton Place.PROS: 1) The owner, who did my hair, achieved a really great colour of blonde - one I haven't been able to get at another salon and I’ve been a blonde for many, many years.CONS: 1) The atmosphere was really awful. The owner bossed around the other girl to fold the towels, clean up hair, water the plants, sweep the cobwebs outside, get her more bleach - it was very unprofessional.2) The owner was so unbelievably rushed through the 2 people before me + myself that she was literally throwing brushes onto her counter and splashing bleach on the floor. I have never had a full head of foils done in under 2 hrs before (including processing, washing, blow drying, cutting, styling) -- and I have really long, thick hair. My hair was shampooed so quickly and aggressively that I could still feel it in my hair after it was dried.3) I left the salon with roots that looked like I had 1-2 months of growth (see photo), the highlights underneath bled & were splotchy, and I had a cut that was longer on one side than the other. Again, this job was incredibly rushed so this is not at all surprising. The owner did not take into account that I have cowlicks in the front and a part down the centre, so admitted that she used the wrong highlighting technique. I reached out immediately after I left (when I got in the car & noticed) and she thankfully didn't hesitate to agree it needed to be fixed, however when I went back I was in and out in 1 hour and it still doesn't look the way it should (see after photo).4) The price was unbelievable. If I could bold this I would. Not even within the city of Ottawa have I ever paid over $200 with tax for a full head of highlights, and this was in Carleton Place AND at a salon whose owner had under 10 years’ experience. I was completely floored. For that price my hair should have been better than perfect. Afterwards I got comparable prices at other salons in CP, and for example, at another salon on Bridge Street I would have paid $120 for the same treatment. Side note: I was told by the owner that full highlights start at $95. I understand that in this industry you can’t give accurate pricing until you see the hair/work on the hair, etc. but I will never understand how you can go from $95 to over $200…Overall I am really disappointed and won’t ever, ever return to this salon.

Jessica and her staff are amazing! So friendly and knowledgeable. My hair never disappoints when I leave Tangled. 100% recommend this salon!

This is a long overdue review, but was recently reminded by my stepdaughters bad experience here. I was told they could perform everything I wanted for under $60 (wash, cut, thin) and then halfway through the cut was told that they actually couldn't thin my incredibly thick hair that they had just cut into a chin length cut for under $60. Have no idea where the miscommunication was but I had to borrow thinning scissors from a friend just to make it look half decent.

This place is awful , this is our 3rd time going and our last . My daughter got her hair trimmed and wanted it straightened but the stylest didn't bother asking her how she wanted her hair styled and curled it , parts of her hair were still damp so when we got home I had to finish drying it and straightened it for her and this cost me 80$! The women in there are rude , loud and obnoxious. Avoid at all cost , overpriced and totally not worth it .

My daughter and I have been going to Jessica for over a year now and we absolutely love our color and hair cuts. I struggled for years with my daughter's very thick hair (she is now 13) and it wasn't until we went to Tangled that anyone suggested thinning it out. Now that they thin it out her hair is so manageable and smooth. My daughter also wanted to get her hair colored and Jessica suggested doing highlights in a beautiful warm blonde that totally complements her coloring. She gets complements on her hair everywhere she goes! My cut and color is always done beautifully and I never feel like she rushes the job. They are all extremely professional and the salon has a great friendly atmosphere. Love the before and after shots she takes (faces always hidden for privacy), check out Facebook to see some stunning transformations. Would highly recommended getting your hair done at Tangled.

Absolutely loved going here, the decor was gorgeous, the staff was knowledgable and friendly. My hair dresser took in my ideas before making suggestions and I never felt rushed. The whole thing was very relaxing. Definitely will recommend to anyone.
