I am currently pregnant and have a 2 year old running around. After having COVID and being out-of-commission for awhile, I got VERY far behind on house cleaning that I decided to hire Maidstr to do a deep clean. This included cleaning all the stuff I never do (baseboards, cobwebs on the ceiling, inside of the microwave) in addition to cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, and all of my floors. The team that came were quick and effective. I was originally mortified at how dirty my house was, but the team just got to work fast and my embarrassment melted away.I was so pleased with their service that I have decided to give up cleaning myself all together - and bring them in every 2 weeks! I am looking forward to having them continue to come on a regular basis so that I can focus on my kid and getting through this pregnancy!

I had not had my place cleaned in a while because of COVID and the lockdown so we were pleased that Maidstr was up and running, with clear policies on how to stay safe. It was simple to book online, and even reschedule if needed which I had to do once due to a work conference call. The cleaning tech was available earlier than my scheduled time and asked via text if she could come earlier. Super easy communication and once she arrived she wore masks, gloves and kept to the precautionary measures. The entire condo ended up super clean. Really appreciate it!!

We used this company prior to moving into our rental home. We paid over $600 for a deep clean. They only sent one person who spent under four hours “cleaning“. When we moved in we found the cleaner had done absolutely nothing. The insides of the cabinets were filthy, there were cobwebs in all of the corners and along the stairwell steps. I ended up spending my move-in day trying to clean while the movers were bringing in boxes, it was a nightmare. When we complained and provided pictures we were told they would come and re-clean our house. When we called to schedule the re-clean we were told it had to be done in one week after the complaint. Of course that was not told to us when the offer was made to come and re-clean. Please think long and hard before using this company.

The ladies did such a great job! Now that I'm commuting back to the office most days of the week, it's been difficult to find the time to clean. Hiring Maidstr was the best thing I could've done for myself! Coming home to a clean apartment after a long day is priceless! Highly recommend.

I recently moved in to my place and hired them for a move-in cleaning. Very happy with the results! The oven that I thought needs replacement as the previous tenant didn’t bother to clean it for years has been cleaned to my satisfaction. The fridge and the freezer look clean and fresh. They also made sure that all cabinets were cleaned which made my move so easy! Will definitely hire them again.

Warning -- They claim they are insured but there's no actual enforcement. There was a disagreement and the cleaner left my space with mess everywhere. They also had gone around my house and bagged everything up. Had to spend the time to prove" with camera footage."

Caroline and her team at Maidstr are always efficient and courteous - and I love the way my place looks when they are done! Highly recommend.

I was shopping around for deep cleaning services every 2 weeks. Maidstr sent a cleaner and…She. Made. This. Home. Spotless.Let me tell you why they are deserving of 5+ stars and went above & beyond the typical services.Went I made my booking online, I had to change the schedule a couple of times and I was pleased at the flexibility. Several times a customer service agent and I communicated via email and text about my questions about the service as well scheduling since I was working from home and they respond fast and thoroughly.On the first service, the cleaning tech came and cleaned the entire condo. She had a system and tackled the job efficiently and thoroughly until it was completely clean. I was SO impressed with the hustle.She was thoughtful and mindful of our current work from home" status.She was v personable and kind – for any sort of service it's rarely just about how good the work is

My experience with Maidstr may be an outlier, as most of the reviews here are positive ones. I normally don’t splurge on cleaning, but after my 2 roommates moved out I thought I’d give Maidstr a try, but found the cleaners who came to be incredibly unprofessional.When she arrived, she told me I needed to upgrade to the “move in / move out” package based on their assessment of the house. I called the company and upgraded. She cleaned for several hours, and when she was done, she asked me to inspect everything. I politely told her that the fridge, cabinets and the oven range hood still looked dirty (to be honest even the remaining parts she did clean, it did not feel like “move in” condition either but I didn’t mention this). The cleaner then started raising her voice, calling me unappreciative and even yelled a few things in another language (I’m assuming profanities). After she was done yelling, she stormed off and slammed my door on the way out. I was left dumbfounded. It wasn’t a big deal to me but for the price I paid, I couldn’t help wonder if what I had asked was out of line.I called the company and talked to a rep, and asked about what was included in the package. I was then told all the contents had to be removed first in order for the fridge and cabinets to be cleaned. I became very frustrated, as it seemed I upgraded the package, and not only did not receive the benefits of the add-on but was also yelled at after for inquiring about it. This left me feeling extremely disappointed, and also a feeling of being scammed. If I was instructed to clean out the fridge and cabinets first, I would have said I didn’t need them cleaned and I was ok with the original package.The company apologized for the cleaners’ behaviour and assured me this was a one-off situation, and offered me a partial refund. I understand that everybody has a bad day, but my experience here was less than spectacular. The cleaner did not do a great job, but more importantly, the way she spoke to me made me feel terrible. I do not believe I was rude to her, or impolite, just curious. Although the company rep has apologized on her behalf, I definitely would not put myself through this experience again.Jan 26, 2022 update: No word from Maidstr since they left their response to reach out again to me.
