South Hill Bottle Depot

If you a lucky and there is only a short line it will be great. If there is a long line, it will still be great, it will just take a bit longer. I prefer this depot because it is drive thru. I haven't even tried the other locations because it's too easy here.

As long as they quit laying off staff, then you can make it through fairly quick, but since the layoffs, hope you have a movie loaded on your phone

If I could give this bottle depot negative stars I would given the events of my most recent visit. I went to this bottle depot before the doors closed I arrived at about 5:23 and doors close at 5:30 I watched a car drive away from one window and I asked the guy if the window was still open where she drove away and he said no and I said okay but yours will be? And he said this is my last customer. I said but if you finish before your windows close at 5:30 you will and he said yes and he finished and it was 5:29 when I pulled up to the window and this man closed it on my face. When I went inside the office part or the building to ask a different employee about it she was very rude and not listening, she kept bringing up the cameras and I told her if she were to check them she would see me at the window before 5:30 when it is posted all around the building they close at, the worker who was at the window then came through and started arguing with me and saying he doesn’t get paid over time and if I wanted him to count my bottles I can pay him his over time and they were all very rude about it. I would never choose to goto this bottle depot again

I love their setup with the drive-thru and conveyor belts. No inconvenient shopping carts. The staff are wonderful. I have gotten to know nearly everyone by name. Diane is awesome! They are fast and efficient. Because they are so great the lineup can be long. Best bottle depot I have ever been to! EVER!

The staff work quickly, and the tech they use helps speed things up even more.

Its a drive-thru bottle depot. You dump your bottles at one of the windows, the person counts and gives you a card and you cash out at the machine in the office. Folks here need work on being more jovial.

The staff are all exceptional. With it being a drive-thru it is awesome if you have children, pets or other precious cargo. And the best part is not having to move your bottles/cans more than once. From your vehicle to the counter and that's it. Best bottle depot in Red Deer.

Why is the new automatic counter in the front always closed? And why is it that the employees watch you unload your bottles at the window then come to tell you it’s closed and have to go around? Worst bottle depot in town guessing the automatic one is to accurate and losing them money

I have lived here for about 4 years and for some reason, have never gone to this bottle depot. I went yesterday for the first time and it was such a great experience. The wait wasnt long at all, being able to drive right up and park is so much easier. Even more so when you have young kids, imagine trying to haul a truck load of bottles with 3 kids under 6. I went again today and was happy! For 2 truck loads I got about $250. I will be back!

The bottle, can, carton expert counter was a nice person. He was quick and polite. Good experience.
