Luminesque Dance

As someone who has no dance or performance background, my first term with Luminesque was such a wonderful experience and I felt completely supported the whole term.

I just completed my first term at Luminesque. I had no previous dance experience so this was completely out of my comfort zone! What a great addition to my schedule - the instructors were so nurturing and helpful and the group of ladies in my class were always so encouraging and positive! Thank you to the Lumi team for providing such a safe and healthy environment for us!

The absolute highlight of my week! I have been dancing with Lumi for almost one full year now. My confidence, sensuality and sense of play have grown immensely and I’ve made amazing friends. I appreciate the commitment to decolonizing, celebration of all ages/body types/identities and orientation. The opportunity to perform in costume at the end of the term is a huge thrill.

Luminesque Dance is more than a dance studio—it is an inspiring and supportive community full of people of all ages, body types, and levels of dance experience from novice to pro. The classes are incredibly fun, the instructors are unbelievably talented, and the company leadership is generous and genuine. I feel so lucky to have found this hidden gem and hope it will continue to grow and thrive. Do yourself a favor and check out this unpretentious and unique studio! From drop-in classes to progression terms to shows, your only regret will be not having tried it sooner.

Luminesque is such a supportive, kind, fun and creative community! Their programs really foster an environment of growth and kindness through the individual classes. Their foundations are built on inclusivity, acceptance and just having an amazing time dancing! They truly are one of the best dance experiences for adults who want to push themselves, work on technique or just have fun! Highly recommended to anyone. If you’re on the fence or nervous, this is your sign to just do it. I have no doubt you’ll end up feeling accomplished and empowered one way or another.

This is a wonderful community where dancers of all skill levels, body types, and self identities can come together in a safe place for self expression. I came to a trial class post partum after my first baby having not danced since my teens for fun exercise and I found so much more. The community element cannot be overstated, nor can the opportunity for personal growth that comes from pushing your comfort zone and getting on stage to perform, some for the first time ever. I look forward to class every week and show weekends are one of the highlights of my year. As a busy working mom I can say this is one of the only things I do purely for myself and it is magic!

Luminesque is a beautiful community of people who come together to dance and celebrate with each other! I am so happy to be a part of a community that lifts each other up. Dancing with Lumi has improved my relationship with my body and helped me improve my technical skills as well. I would absolutely recommend trying out a class and getting a feel for Luminesque to see if it's right for you, too.

Luminesque has provided a space where people can be themselves and have a sense of safety and belonging. Both my daughters are dancing with Luminesque and I couldn’t be happier as I see them blossom and step into themselves. I have just joined in my first term with Luminesque because I am so inspired and grateful for what they have done for my girls and how I am loving being a part of this community. Luminesque is a welcoming and inclusive community. All are welcome! I’ve had a blast learning heels dancing in a friendly and supportive environment with knowledgeable instructors. Beyond learning heels technique and choreography for performance, Luminesque empowers all dancers to be ourselves, come as we are, and express ourselves without judgment.

I've had such a great time dancing with them, highly recommend it! :)
