Very kind and attentive staff. I can get a little nervous around blood and needles, but I donate anyways! I think the people working there can sense my discomfort and they always make an effort to make sure I'm comfortable and distract me when necessary. It's easy to book an appointment and people there were always very good at explaining what to do and where to go. It's a little bit of a nuisance to have to go over medical facts that never change (for example, where I was born) over each visit, but I understand that this is necessary and I'll gladly continue to go there. Thank you staff and volunteers for your kindness and attention.

I’ve donated in several different locations, and like this one the best. It’s very well organized, the staff are courteous, attentive and skilled. I encourage everyone who is eligible to donate blood, and if you are in Durham Region, donate at this location.

Hours are a joke... Open 3 hours in a day and you are begging for donations. This is the only one I can get to easily, and you are only open while I am working. I would be here every time I am eligible. If you were open that is

Donated blood for the first time ever here and had a great experience. The staff were all welcoming and really helpful in answering any questions I had. The nurse who collected my blood was a joy to talk to and made the experience much better. I would definitely come back here again to donate.

As a 19 year old, this was my first time donating, so my body wasn't exactly prepared for the experience. I did all of the recommended preparations such as eating and drinking a lot of water but I still got sick. After my donation I got the shakes, felt nauseous, and wound up vomiting. Despite this, I had a great experience! From the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcome and safe. Terri explained the whole process to me, in language I could understand, and checked up on me throughout my donation. Angie stayed with me the entire time, joking and making conversation to make me feel more comfortable. The ladies held my hair back, contacted my fiancé, and overall made me feel safe. Despite the side effects, I will be donating again as soon as I can.

I've made multiple attempts to donate blood and it's never a smooth process. Making me question whether or not I should keep trying if it always ends in frustration. Most recently, I was told my hemoglobin is too low to donate. The staff member (who was lovely to deal with by the way) asked if it was that time of the month - I was in fact just ending my period - and she told me that it's typically best to wait a week after your period to donate as your hemoglobin levels will be back to normal. I told her I tried looking at the blood donation website as I figured a menstrual cycle could impact your ability to donate and of course, found nothing. She then said she's been trying to tell staff that this important information should be on the website so people don't waste their time, and no one listens to her. Maybe it's time to listen to your staff. Half the population has a menstrual cycle, do you not think it'd be important to include on the website that it might impact your hemoglobin levels? Ridiculous. Quit wasting people's time. Include menstrual cycle info on the eligibility quiz and give us a warning if it might prevent us from donating!

I gave 4 stars. It met all the expectations I had. Clean inside friendly staff. They make it as easy as they possibly can for you. All regulations appear to be followed to a T. I felt safe comfortable and appreciated.

Awesome location for donating blood, it was my first time donation and had a great experience. Plenty of things I liked about the experience, like:- Very courteous staffs and they appears to spend conscious effort to make a donor feel motivated.- As I was a first time donor, they explained the process in details and were patient enough to answer my additional queries.- Well maintained in the aspect of Covid-19 related safety measures.- Donation process was painless (as less as it practically can be) and swift.- It took total of ~1 hour 15 minutes for the whole process but I felt it reasonable considering I was first time there and had to go through quite a bit of formalities. Actual donation took around 20 minutes.

The staff here are mostly fantastic, but there were a few times of confusion from miscommunication, especially as a first-time donor. Took longer than I expected it to take, almost an hour and a half, but it was pretty painless.
