As friends for many years, Richard and I were delighted when Victoria and Kiegan mentioned Deirdre would be officiating their wedding September 16, 2022.Deirdre is someone who has a genuine warmth and a joy that radiates. With this she has a special touch, setting an elegant tone to the wedding ceremony and vows. Her manner is professional and her attention to detail and preparation make her a wonderful officiant.We so appreciated Deirdre spending time getting to know Victoria and Kiegan. As a photographer, I have had the pleasure to work with Deirdre for a couple weddings. She is absolutely amazing and I can't say enough good things about her! She is calm, professional, kind, detailed and just an overall joy to be around.I have seen many officiants due to the many weddings I have shot and highly recommend Deirdre as your officiant!

Deirdre McCarvill was the officiant for my niece’s wedding. I was touched by her joy and her reverence for this role. She was beautifully organized, very thoughtful and well spoken.I was asked to read a passage during the ceremony. Deirdre reached out to me in advance to be sure I had the reading and gave me some good presentation tips. During the rehearsal, she guided the robust wedding party through the ceremony making sure everyone had fun and understood what they were to do. This included me who had to remember to take the microphone from her (and also give it back). On the day of the event, she was elegantly dressed. Her peaceful watchful presence helped calm nerves. The ceremony flowed perfectly, a sure sign that a lot of preparation had been done. When she spoke about the bride and groom, you could tell that she had spent time learning about who they are and why they had come to this important decision to marry. She made this heartfelt ceremony about them, which was absolutely wonderful.Deirdre- you made my niece’s wedding a day to remember for the rest of my life. Thank you.

Deirdre drove out to Lavington BC to officiate our wedding in a small backyard ceremony and it was perfect !! Exactly everything I had hoped for and more. She was so nice to my family and spoke to everyone like they were her own family. It was incredible to see.We only bought the most basic package, however she threw so many little extra touches that it made us both feel super special. She added little personal touches to the speech and took some of our love story to tell to our families. And get this, I don’t even know if I’m aloud to say this, however she had a professional photographer with her and she didn’t charge us extra for him?!?! I don’t think that is normal, I believe we booked her at the right time, on the right day. It was such a memorable day, and I can’t say enough about how good Deirdre was. 5 out of 5 EASY !!!!

I attended a wedding this past summer where Deirdre was the officiant.I was extremely impressed by her calm attitude and encouraging smile towards the couple and the wedding guests. She was organized and professional, delivering a ceremony full of a love story, humour, and wise words for the future. Deirdre herself is a loving and kind person and I will definitely be hiring her for my own wedding next year!
