The staff is always very helpful but also quite happy to leave you on your own and wander around we ended up purchasing five fixtures here for an incredibly low price they also did their best to look for a new type of fixture, searching online and through supplier catalogs before they concluded it wasn't something they could get for us. We appreciated the honesty and the fact they didn't try to sell us on something that they did have.

I recently visited Carrington Lighting with my family to find wall sconces and lighting for a basement renovation we are completing. We arrived at the store mid-morning and walked in together as a family. Not a single person working in the store greeted us, nodded, waved, acknowledged us in any way or offered assistance. On two occasions I was shocked to see different employees giving us nasty looks and actively turn away as we moved through the store. We waited in the entry for a few moments and my husband even said I wonder where the wall sconces are?" before walking through the entire store looking at the displays. The closest employees actively ignored his question and busied themselves at the desk and table where they stood- without other customers. Our children (aged 11

Long standing gold standard for lighting fixtures. Great selection and helpful staff. Have shopped here in the past and will continue to shop here in the future. Not inexpensive but high quality.

The bulb color and temperature display are both unique and helpful.Before we bought a ceiling light fixture, a young fellow came out with a ladder to attach it to a power outlet in the ceiling. Then, the sales associate asked him to put in bulbs of different intensities.The bulbs we chose were added to our order. The young man went to the storage area to pack the fixture in the original box and ensured all of the hardware for installation was included.I have never seen service this good and will make Carrington my first choice before a big box store.Whatever your taste in lighting, I saw everything style I could imagine. The quality was excellent, and the price ranged from super economical to elaborate chandeliers.

I am building the house through builder. Builder sent me to Carrington lightning NW, Calgary location for fixture selections. I did the selection with rep back in Sep 2022.The house is still under construction at framing/rough-ins stage.I checked online recently and some of the fixture prices has gone down by couple of hundred dollars or so.I called Carrington Lightning rep and advise about the same. He checked and confirmed yes it's the same fixtures I selected and prices has gone down but there is nothing he can do to adjust the pricing.I told him that fixtures are not even delivered or installed yet and we still have couple of months to go before it gets installed into the house but he said there is nothing he can do to adjust the price.That's really bad service. I wouldn't recommend Carrington lightning to anyone.

Jamie helped us pick out a light. He asked excellent questions to quickly reduce the options and then showed us some lights. Based on our feedback, he found more lights both in the store and in the catalog that fit our requests very well. The price was less than expected and Jamie was very good at staying within budget lines. Prices were clear and sales were well signed. I'll use Carrington again for lights!

I had a great customer service experience with Mike. I had a halogen pendant light that wasn’t working (burned out socket). Mike found my original 2012 purchase in the system, then informed me that their supplier stopped manufacturing those lights in 2015. But he said he may be able to help. A few days after visiting the store Mike called me with a solution, which would require a bit of work on my side, using some components similar to my lights that he found in their inventory. Now my wife can again enjoy our lights as originally installed. Mike’s perseverance and lateral thinking to resolve my issue was truly old school customer service.
