St. Oscar Romero Catholic Secondary School

This school is hypocrital! They tell us, the students, on a civvies day that women specially, cannot wear exposing clothing: crop tops, skirts, etc.. Yet a teacher there even WORE a CROP TOP and a skirt shorter than the thigh lengths. Will be filing a complaint to this school very soon! This is ridiculous.

the school is a good and welcoming place were you get to learn and Flourish with liberty and the help of every one it is like a family or community trust me you will love to be part of it but I am speaking from my on experience

I do not recommend it because my family's experience there was unpleasant. How can you not support a student who is bullied and do nothing? They don't really think about how that affects the students and worst of all, they don't care, although personally it was also our mistake to trust that school that has a bad reputation.

Someone from this school stole my presto card and used it and i'd like them to know god is watching...

I'm a current student at this school, and honestly, I don't enjoy this school one bit. First, the staff at this school have a habit of dressing inappropriately. About 4 times I've walked into various staff members wearing a top exposing too much chest or a skirt that is shorter than the recommended size for a TEACHER. The rules for students is to not wear clothing that EXPOSES either a females chest or bottom area. Yet the staff here wears short and tight clothing, how is that fair? When students speak their opinion about how teachers should wear uniform, we're the ones who are critized and wronged, especially by higher staff members of the school. Secondly, the homeroom teachers have a habit of swearing in front of students, talking with attitude to students, and not teaching material properly; stressing students out even more.

Overall the staff and educators are not bad. The environment overall wouldn’t be in a good mental place though. The GEMs program is good. The unfortunate thing about this program is that many students that are enrolled in it are put there out of their free will and fail or slightly meet provincial standards. Offers good transition from elementary to high school. As expectations are not set greatly high when grade nine students start in September. A good second choice. There are better secondary schools in the York-South Weston area for sure. Uniform is enforced at a 5/5Offers Specialist High Skills Majors for business, sports or construction (SHSM).Has a Toronto Police Constable Student Resource Officer present regularly.

Great school but bad area feel Srry for the grade 10 and 9 both grades r not gunna have a full grade 9 experience due to covid but overall great some teachers r a pain but it is what it is.
