It was my first time coming since the switch of owners, and I found it the best traditional Japanese style food ever! The dish I got was the Teishoku assorted Katsu set. It was very good and conciced of smaller dishes, including a miny sunomono salad, 2pc small fried tofu, gai Lan, miso soup rise and my main dish which was my katsu! It was light and very good with shrimp and pork! My friend got a miso ramen and was also very pleased! The survive was also very good even though they were busy! Overall, I would highly recommend this place to people seeking good traditional Asian food!

Genuinely the best brunch I’ve had in years. Great vegan options!! I got the grain bowl, which was absolutely to die for. Also split one of their giant caramel pecan brownies with my friends and we all agreed that it was hands down the best brownie we’ve ever eaten.Highly recommend giving this place a try!

I’m a Japanese who has been staying in Victoria since May.I found out that there is a Japanese restaurant near where I live, so I stopped by.I couldn't decide what to order because there were only traditional Japanese foods, but I ordered the Assorted Katsu Set".The rice and miso soup

I totally recommend it! I ordered the assorted katsu set and everything was delicious, including the miso soup and several side dishes :) Staff was very friendly as well!

Excellent assorted katsu set! A nice assortment of seasonal flavours and delightful side-dishes. Plenty to eat and it’s all made with love. Some of the most authentic Japanese food in Victoria, served in a restful atmosphere.

I was in town with my partner from Seattle and stopped by this place while it was really busy around lunch time. The man who was in charge who I suspect is probably the owner was extremely nice and after we waited for around 10 minutes he offered to make extra seating by bringing a table from the outdoor dining area. Truly a nice gesture that some restaurants I’ve been to lack. Great service and food! Will definitely come again if I’m in the area!

Always amazing. So happy they opened up in our neighbourhood and great food is just steps away. Just tried the tofu bowl today (normally I get the BLAT or egg sandwich) and was blown away. Such. Good. Food.

We tried three different assorted Katsu sets. Each one was delicious and fresh. Each of the small plates in the set was artfully arranged and tasted delicious. And they were each different, including different kinds of rice and pickles. My spouse had tuna tataki, I had grilled chicken udon soup, and our child had tofu; everything was very good. The service was outstandingly friendly! Everything was served with grace and a smile.
