Stitch It Clothing Alterations & Dry Cleaning

This is a customer service rant, not about the quality of their work. I went in to get two pairs of denim hemmed, I asked the sales lady what the cost would be and thinking this was a reasonable price gave her my pants to get altered. I then asked her if it would be possible for her to take 3 measurements of me, bust, waist and hips, as I needed to order a dress online. She said ok. She did not mention any cost to me. And I assumed that she was doing me a curtsey as I was using their services, maybe assuming kindness here was my mistake here. I pay tap my card and pay my bill. And I took a double take when looking at my receipt because it was $9 more than expected. $9 extra for taking 3 measurements that took maybe 1 minute to complete! I was so confused and frankly, irritated. If she had told me she was going to charge me $9 before I would NOT have gotten her to do the measurements for me. She didn't even tell me she was adding it to my bill before I paid. It all just felt very sneaky. I will not be using their services again. Please train your employees to properly communicate especially when it comes to charges. She looked annoyed from the moment I stepped into the door and was not pleasant to talk to even before she overcharged me for the measurements. I don't want to write her name in this review but I'm sure she will know who I am once she reads this. This situation would not have arose if she communicated pricing properly before. This is the first bad review I've ever written and I don't expect anyone to stop using their services because of this review. I just hope management sees this and makes some changes to the way they deal with their future customers so no one else has this experience.

Had a outfit adjusted for my son's wedding and they ruined it so bad I had to go buy a new outfit 2 weeks before the wedding. They were only willing to give me $20 refund on a $150. Outfit. Will never use or recommend this place to anyone..

We had a very great experience with their services. We ask a luxury brand hat to be adjusted and it was sewed perfectly. Great value for the service rendered.

All reviews about poor customer service are spot on! Upon calling to inquire, the sales associate on the phone was nothing but rude, so much so I will be driving somewhere outside of Milton to get my jeans tailored as I will not be supporting this company!!

Theresa went above and beyond! My daughter’s prom dress alterations were perfect, but a dress design flaw still wasn’t fixed (tears) once it was pressed etc, so we brought it back looking for help at the last minute. She fixed the bodice with her handy skills, and it made my daughter’s day. We couldn’t be happier! Thank you again, Theresa.

I brought my coat here to fix four different things, and when I picked it up three out of four we’re done incorrectly. There was a button sewn on a completely different place than I had asked, two seams that I had asked to be uniform are completely different. The lady that I was dealing with when I picked up my coat was unapologetic and told me it would be at least two weeks to fix problems they had made. I planned to bring my coat in at this time so that I would have it in time for winter, at this point I am stuck wearing a spring coat until the changes are made. I’m disappointed with the service at the front of house, and the seamstresses.EDIT *****Teresa the seamstress called me and explained there was a mis communication. She fixed both sleeves, and added a button so it now looks uniform. She was excellent, and this is the service I am used to here. Thank you for fixing this so quickly, I truly appreciate it. I am only leaving it at a 4 star, as there was trouble at the beginning - and with the front desk staff. The back end knows what they are doing.Changing star rating.

Took my dress and jacket for dry cleaning. After I picked up, I noticed that some stitching had been done to my dress which was so considerate.The initial customer service representative I came in contact with was very nice!

Clean queit, quick and reasonably priced. My jeans were done well within 2 days. No fuss experience.. price was 12 CAD... and even received a msg when it was done. Super happy to have found them..

Customer service was really bad and unprofessional, prices were not communicated before work was done. The older lady had taken my pants to the back to “have a look”, I’d had assumed she would come back out and let me know how they were planning on fixing it along with pricing/customer approval, she came out and showed me what they were charging $17, which was something I could have done myself with some thread and needle. Professionally a quote should be given and approved by customer before any work is done.

Wonderful experience yesterday at Stitch-It in the Milton Mall. Went in looking to have the zipper in my daughter’s winter jacket fully replaced, since to me it was clearly broken - zipper would pull apart when zipped up, or not zip or unzip at all. Estimate to replace the zipper was 70.00, and pickup would have been in about 10 days. Then this lovely woman came out of the back area, looked at the zipper, explained what to look for if a zipper truly needs replacing, took the jacket to the back area and replaced the slider. How great to me was this?1. I got to take the jacket away then and there, fully functional, for 20.00,2. I learned something, and3. honestly, the feeling you get walking away from a service feeling that you have truly been cared for by the people you met there is priceless and rare. Highly recommended.
