Slimey as F*3kI have worked in the oil industry for 12 years and this company has never had a good name but I recently moved to red deer and they had an office there at the time, I applied all sounded good and I went to work. Later somehow my contact had changed from a 12hr contract to a 14hr contract but they never gave me a copy at time of employment. That was only the start.Oh and before that when I did go to work all of their medical units and equipment were in Di's array it took me a couple hours ripping though all their paramedic kits to make one usable kit and then ask for an order (Wich granted I did eventually receive) but still a total gong show.Went to this job and the job was not in compliance with OHS regulations, granted they had just changed so even the audit they had didn't point this out but I am in university for this type of thing and thus I am very current. The job was spread to thin and we required more medical staff. I raised the concerns first through our chain of command (it was actually could have been a great sales pitch if they had qualified people to push it) and then did express to the clients safety officers, they dismissed my concerns but eh I covered myself by raising them in the first place so I was satisfied.Had an issue in a work camp with a drunk worker and brought it up through the chain of command as one should, the regional manager in the area I was working asked the client if they wanted me kicked off site for raising the safety concerns. Luckily the company doing the work had more integrity than Trojan so they stood up for me because I am a professional and was doing a great job, Infact I was the only paramedic the whole company had at the time. I responded to a couple calls on this major project and the client therefor was happy with the work I was doing. By now the office had realised that their contract with the client didn't actually specify they needed a paramedic so they wanted to switch me out for a first aider, but they had promised me work until Christmas. The clients fought to keep me around but eventually they pulled me a week into December. Basically the worst time of year to pull someone, nothing new fires up and everyone has their jobs till the Christmas break so they tried to really screw me again.Luckily I don't live paycheck to paycheck so I was fine. They had moved shops and asked me to leave the keys with them so they could move our personal vehicles to the new shop in slyvan, well they left mine at the old shop in a parking lot out front not even in the back locked up.On the drive to drop me off at my car the manager basically told me that I can't ask questions to clarify and when I work for Trojan they tell me to jump I only ask how high. He was clearly angry but held his temper in check I'll give him that. The last thing they did to give me the gears is they waited a week and a half before offering me a first aid job, of course no paramedic is going to go work as a first aider so I turned it down. That meant I refused work in the eyes of the government so all the hours I did work for them were no longer bankable for EI. I didn't know this until I filed an ei claim in the spring, Wich I still got because I work alot and didn't even need those hours but again they are greasy.2 of the reviews here, one is their real estate agent and 1 is their recruiter so skewed reviews.
