Wilma's Transition Society

They were the worst shelter I ever had the displeasure of staying at. These are suppose to be safe places for women to go to after violence. Not only were my needs too much to be met, they stole from us.During Christmas time we had dinner and gifts donated by a local restaurant. I spoke with them as they arrived and thanked them for dinner and the gifts, they said enjoy and left. The dinner we got to eat and the gifts they took from us. Saying they were extras, despite me speaking with the sponsor directly.The staff for the most part, did not make me feel safe, made me feel like a burden, made my stay in Chilliwack more stressful. When I voiced that, they told me I should probably leave and find somewhere else to find safety.This establishment needs to be shut down and defunded.
