Cafe Le Hibou
This is our favourite place to eat in Wakefield. Great food, funky retro decor with all varieties of owls, and a waiter who is warm, engaging & enthusiastic about the food. The view onto the water as the sun goes down was great. Wonderful place to relax after a great day snowshoeing in nearby Gatineau Park.

Really delicious food and the server was so kind. The whipped feta was amazing and the burger is probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. Will come back to try more delicious foods! Highly recommend.

Great restaurant in Wakefield. The seating was all mismatched, with eccentric decor and bright colours all around. There's a stage and projector inside for event nights. There's a sizable parking lot on the back that is shared with other businesses. Vegetarian items were not marked on the menu, to the best of my recollection, but they did have a good few veggie items. Unfortunately their one vegetarian main was a veggie burger, which is very common for restaurants to have as their one vegetarian entre. The food was very good with interesting variety throughout the menu.

Perfect day for a lunch on the patio. Great location, nice setting and beautiful view… The whipped feta and cauliflower was a great appetizer to share. Light, bright, tasty and beautifully seasoned. The butter chicken poutine was an interesting combination of flavors, overall filling and satisfying. The fish and chips is were they fell short. The fries were delicious and crispy, the aioli was flavorful but the fish seemed like it came straight out of a box. Based on the other plates, we were expecting more of a fresh fish and homemade batter which left us a bit disappointed… Overall pleasant lunch, we will definitely visit again and try other options.

You come to Wakefield for that cozy getaway feeling and Le Hibou is just what the doctor ordered. Delicious home made food and almost everything is locally grown. We got the French Onion soup and the chicken masala poutine.Delicious and I can’t wait to come back in the summer when the patio is open and there’s live music!

Another reason to love Quebec! This is a fantastic, cozy, and cute restaurant in the beautiful town of Wakefield. The biggest highlight is the fish & chips. The fish is fresh and it is served with cabbage, fresh home fries and a delicious home-made tartar sauce. The vegan burger was absolutely brilliant. It was extremely flavourful. What made the 2 items even better was the hot sauce and I purchased a bottle of it to bring home.The staff is extremely polite and courteous. In fact they suggested me to buy the sauce separately to avoid paying service charge on the bottle.I have saved this place for the future. Cafe Le Hibou - you have found a new loyal patron! Thank you for the brilliant food and service.

Such lovely staff and the food was delicious!! The staff were bilingual so there was no issue with communication and they were very kind !
