Beautiful views, great trails. The High Lookout has the best views and it’s an easy trail if you are in moderate shape, just has a couple of steep sections. The walk around the Marsh is great for bird watching!Just be Bear Aware at all times.

Beautiful entry level hike. Great for kids. Lots of wildlife (beaver, bear, toads, etc). Watch out for the bear family.... Mother and cub. They are not afraid of people. We had to back-up and give them space before they cleared the trail.

This park is basically a bear sanctuary. Easy intensity hiking trail to bring family but be equipped with bear bells. We encountered 9 bears in 2 hours :) Keep a safe distance, noise alone doesn’t work well for curious bear cubs (and the mother follows closely behind), just keep backing up loudly so they have space. The lake is beautiful, like a Claritin box ad manifested

I've hiked here a couple of times (before and after the fire). It was remarkable to see it recently, recovering from that fire.It is a gem, quietly tucked away in a deep pocket of Coquitlam. My friend remarked as we walked, that she couldn't believe she had never been there before. Lots of wildlife, and well-maintained trails, for the most part - I mean, it is a forest, in a huge, regional park, after all; pretty decent signage, too. Plenty of stunning viewpoints and little out-and-back offshoots, along the way, worth exploring.Toadlet migration season (as I write this) is bizarre experience: you must watch every step, on some sections of the trails.Great Blue Herons, lots of songbirds; frogs, toads, beavers*/ dams in the marsh; bears*, coyotes* (*not seen this trip, but we were told there was a sow & 3 cubs just ahead). There are some seriously tall root steps" on part of the trail on the marsh loop; last year

Was here for a friend's wedding and the place was set up beautifully. Although ald and dated, this added to the charm with plenty of wildlife around, we saw a couple of bears and some hummingbirds on our trip there, beautiful lodge in a beautiful location, just be weary that if you are going to an event here and it finished late, taxi drivers do not like coming out there, we had 2 cancel on us before one eventually took the fare, plan in advance, and be sure to make sure they are coming!

Nice easy hike with various terrain! There are a walk around the lake, board walk, forested area, and uphills. Lots of things to see including wildlife such as beavers and felons. Beautiful water view!

Great view. Just beware of bears, leash your dogs and stay close with your children. Mother bear and baby bears on the trail. Don’t bring food as they might smell it.

Hidden gem! First time visit it was truly a pleasure to walk or hike. Get there early though. I arrived just before 930am on a June Sunday and the parking was full. You could then park on the road just outside the parking.

One of the easiest, most beautiful trail/hikes I’ve ever been to. Highly recommend checking this gorgeous gem out when you’re in the area!

Be bear aware!!!Such a beautiful spot, you can really feel it that you are at the foot of the mountains.Came a little close for comfort to a mama bear and her cub, suggest you don’t take food with you!The tiny toadlets are everywhere, hopping across the trails, if you just wait a moment, you can avoid stepping on them :-)Recommend the lower trails for easier hikes, the high lookout is pretty steep. Also, it’s a bit of a trek to get there with current road closures.Such a verdant, vibrant marsh, with several well-kept trails.
