Terry's Your Independent Grocer Gravenhurst

It seems as if all the teenagers whom are employed here like to use their shifts to socialize and hangout with the other teenagers on shift. I've witnessed employees playing football" with items from the produce section as I walked in the store and it's not uncommon to have to wait at the till for a few minutes before even being noticed.It used to be a really good place to shop - now I feel as if I'm interrupting social hour."

Cashiers & staff very customer orientated. Deli/ Meals to Go Thank You!!! A delish meal served hot by happy people who want to be there and go extra mile to make sure your meal is fresh. May 5/23 the young male attendant was superb ( above and beyond)

Would only take 4 water bottles back...stating it was the store policy. Made me lug the other 6 bottles back to my truck. The cottager in front of me returned 11 with no argument.As usual..preferential treatment for cottages over locals.This water was purchased at the independent where they gladly took my deposit.Took my other 6 bottles to Sobey's.....they returned my deposit graciously.

Huge variety for your grocery selection even have a clothes section. Items are sectioned and easy to find.Friendly staff are there to help and make your shopping experience more at ease!

If you like convenience store pricing this is the place! I can't complain about the quality though, decent selection and great meat prices. Everything else is double the cost of any other grocery store around. I like to keep my money local but this store is way overpriced.

Rude teenagers with slack jaws like out of Deliverance, the blond carrot head had a mental break to a joke I made, he blushed and started to groan like his Brain was grinding gears, at least that was funny. overpriced products with the extra tourist level prices bumping them up more. when Terry finds himself in hell one day this will be why.

I have shopped at Terry's Independent for many years. Great produce. Great meats. Great staff. Many weekly specials to help with lower cost meal planning. Last but not least the best owner/operator in the food business 'Terry'. If you have an issue, Terry is approachable and fair.

Extra star for being a bit more reasonable then the other big chain Green sign grocery store nearby. But, definitely worth the drive south if you want better prices.

I would like to give more stars, but what is holding me back is the fact, that the groceries are costing more than I can afford.Of course there is one more grocery store with even more outrages prices in town. If I drive an extra 35 km from here, I can get food at a much better price with absolute good quality. For emergencies, and when I am in this area, I can get here about everything I am looking for. The produce is always nice, a little hot food section can satisfy immidiate hunger, and sometimes the reduced items in the bakery section can be awesome finds. The general reduced section, in a corner of the store is always a mess, and still Way too expensive. I like the dedicated holistic food section, and the seasonal has sometimes attractive offers.I really do not like the large clothing section, as a trade of for grocery options.Considering, that this is an everything but rich town, I hope that they will get a more affordable store eventually.

Produce is 2nd rate. Specials not always received. Staff are helpful
