Used them for years

Do not use this company it’s a huge rip off. Unfortunately we only found out about it after selling our home. While buying our property we used this service because we were referred by our mortgage broker and now after selling our place 8 years later we found out that they charged us unreasonable price as oppose to a great lawyer we chose to use when selling our place. We ended up paying half of the amount we paid for this company.

Charged over 300 for a phone call . Never got no package he said he would send . Biggest RIP off ever . Would never use him as a lawyer seems very shady and hard up .

I used Miller Thomson's services in a separation. Although the partner associated was incredibly pleasant and helpful throughout the process, I was billed for items that were a result of missed steps in our final agreement (at least, that is my understanding).There were particularities around my land ownership that were left unresolved for over a year after our separation because it was not clearly addressed in the final separation document. I was forced to take my own time to follow up with all parties involved to ensure I was removed from the mortgage. Thankfully, this was not something that came back to haunt me but it could have gone very poorly if my ex partner defaulted or missed payments.In a normal world, this would not have been an issue but given that I was billed for things like one off emails, I would expect that this would be something that should have been addressed by my legal council well before it became an issue.Overall, the partner supporting this file was kind and caring but I was left with a very sour taste after this and it has made me very skeptical about legal council moving forward.

Stay away, dont bother calling. Charged 300 for initial call, 600$ hr lawyer answered and doesn't say nothing. Then initial meeting 2 lawyers in there, little did I know I was paying over 800$ hr for these 2 RIP offs. The 600$ hr guy was in there for 10 mins till he told me his rate and left but changed for 1 full hour.The 235$ hr lawyer I hired to do an affidavit took over 1 month to do 9 pages. At one point had to call her boss and had meeting because she lied, was not doing what I paid for and she called it a miscommunication even though I hired her to do affidavit, there was nothing else for her to do. She overcharged me highly, was told 3k was almost double. No return phone calls on overcharging so have to file complaint with court now or pay these RIP offs.
