Drayton Valley Reptile Rescue

I just wanted to give a shout out to Drayton Valley Rescue. We came to a point in our lives where we felt we weren't giving our bearded dragon the best life possible and we were looking to re-home him. The rescue was extremely supportive and gave their time and online presence to advertise and help find a home. We had a hiccup along the way but the rescue went right back to work finding a new home and I truly felt there was no judgement. They want the best for all animals in their care and its great to have something like this for reptiles in Alberta where most rescues focus on furry animals.

Had a question and messaged them on their Facebook they replied almost immediately and did their best help me they are so friendly definitely recommend going to em for all your reptile questions and needs

I've always heard about DVR and always heard great things. as I got more into the hobby the owner has been very helpful and has helped me with some of my reptiles and it's nice because honestly the reptile community is so toxic. it's nice to have somebody caring and kind and willing to help rather than beat down a person for asking a question. I've heard lots of bad things but everything she seems to have proof and shows she is doing everything right! I support her rescue and I support what she does for these reptiles and the proper processes she has in place. I just feel bad so many people are so negative towards a great rescue. the reptile community sucks so its nice for a change to have somebody willing to help teach and explain things. 10/10 recommend. :)

I just want to start of by saying these guys are really amazing and really helped me out with a tough situation. Beyond responsive, and put the effort to follow up with me personally and check in during the duration of trying to find my guy a home. I recently had to move into a building that didn’t allow reptiles and had to re-home my boa, which is not an easy one to find a good home for. I don’t have the most experience in the community nor the resources to find him a reliable caring home and they really helped me to do. I can safely say he is going into good hands now! Can’t be thankful enough!

The owner is extremely compassionate and knowledgeable of reptiles and tarantulas. Its difficult giving up your pet and the owner is so supportive and provides a safe and loving environment. I definitely recommend this place to those seeking to find a home for their pet tarantula

This organization is beyond amazing! People always just think we need to rescues fuzzy 4 legged animals. Well reptiles need to be saved too. DVRR does work that not many or any other organization does. They take brutally neglected and mistreated reptiles rehab them, socialize them and get them good homes through a thorough pre-screening process. I have personally been following them for years, what they do is so underappreciated. I have personally talked with, met in person, seen the facility and adopted a beautiful well tempered snake from them. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, loving and caring. PLEASE !!! consider adopting an animal Instead of buying from box stores that sell animals from mass production breeders who do not care about the animals.

I had the great pleasure of volunteering here for 8 months, I also adopted my Honduran milksnake here just over a year ago, and I can say 100% that the owner does an incredible job. They have had hundreds of animals in and out and always do a proper job of quarantining and making sure all the animals that are put up for adoption are healthy and ready to go to their forever homes! They also make sure that the people who want to adopt these animals go through a very thorough adoption process and have to jump through a number of hoops to guarantee that they will take care of the animal properly.I have been around when new animals were brought in, have been there to help clean and care for the animals, and have also seen the animals go to their forever homes and can say that this rescue does an amazing job and I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to add a fun to pal to the family, or even if you are interested in giving back and desire to go volunteer I guarantee you will learn a wealth of knowledge!

DV Reptile Rescue has been wonderful to my family and our critters. Always helpful with any questions, and is an invaluable source of accurate husbandry info. Thank you for advocating and caring for our scaly friends!

Very lovely organization, they really seem to care about their animals and who they are adopted out to. They make sure each animal gets the best home possible. They responded quickly and were very friendy and helpful. Excellent place to look if you are planning on adopting a reptile :)
