Update:Visited again recently, food were even better then last time and the customer service got much improved!! Loved there Ton Katsu, it was crispy outside and soft & moist inside.Never disappointed :):)They have just right amount of rice on the nigiris, you will get LARGE portion of food than what you are paying. Great customer service and very clean :) I would come back for sure

The place was clean and the service was nice, but the food was kind of disappointing. My partner said the sushi was 'ok', but my katsu was 100% bland. Rice and egg was ok. The price felt a little too much for the food we got.

The service was quick, food was fresh, and the portions were generous. The flavours were consistent with their other locations. Overall an enjoyable experience. The chicken katsu entree is a must try! The crisp on the chicken is on point and all the sauces and sides are delicious. Be sure to check this location out!

I love Sushi California on North Road so I am excited they opened another one a bit closer to me. I went and got some rolls and sashimi. Food quality and portions were great like I know to expect from Sushi Cali. The service when we went was lacking though. It took about 20-30 minutes to get some rolls and when they came I was already finished my sashimi. When we asked about the rolls, the rolls immediately were brought out so I am guessing they were just forgotten about. Overall it wasn't overly busy and the servers didn't really check on us much, had to flag them down.As this location just opened maybe they have some growing pains on staffing so I give the benefit of the doubt.

Not busy at all when we went to Sushi California on Saturday night. Got enough food for 2 for both the meal and breakfast next day for $45. Prices were reasonable especially for the individual sushi. Vegas Roll was pretty good and had a small kick to the usual California Roll. The veggie sunomono came in a small bowl but the base was very flavourful and refreshing. The tuna from the BC Roll combo tasted fresh and not so fishy. The restaurant was playing mukbang videos which was an interesting choice. Small parking lot out front. Would come back again.

Service here is really good. Their special menu has Uni Kura Don which is something I would recommend trying if you haven’t before, the price is a bit hefty at $48 though so keep that in mind. It tastes great! I noticed sashimi prices have increased considerably since I first came here, and they don’t feel as worth it as before.

My family and I, accompanied by nine friends, had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. The food arrived with a 30-minute delay, which left everyone unsatisfied. Furthermore, one of the sushi rolls didn't match the order details on the receipt. Additionally, the servers displayed highly unprofessional behavior. Overall, I cannot recommend this place at all!

Finally a Sushi California has opened up here! I've always liked the one on North Road but the parking is atrocious so I never went. Tonight we tried out this new location and the service and food were great! The food came out quickly and the service was excellent! If you needed anything they were happy to help and refilled our tea often. The food was fresh and very large portioned. I'm glad a new location has been opened here in Coquitlam.

Update: Went in for dine-in at 5pm, true service was a little slow as they seemed understaffed, but it was still a decent dine-in (4/5 for Dine-in)So happy they opened a Sushi Cali here! Not sure if it's because they just opened but the portion and flavor is 10x better than the other locations. I will most likely order here, minimum, once a week!!
