The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Esplanade
Sleek, modern steakhouse with quality food. I got the New York Striploin, cooked to perfection, juicy, and well seasoned, with a side of garlic mash potatoes. Finished the evening with the mocha pie slice, aka Billy Miner Pie, (their speciality). Steaks run about 40 to 55 CAD, in total for myself with a glass of wine, dessert, entree, and a digestif, I spent around 100 CAD, very fair price in my opinion for the quality and quantity of food (two small people can easily split a steak and dessert). I also liked the variety of wines by the glass available and digestif selection (Scotch, liquers, etc.) AND the free, steaming hot fresh bread to start with. Thanks to my friendly server Jessie. Hope to be back here next time I'm in Toronto!

Food is excellent and service is good. A place to go to fix our mood and make our day. Rib steak is our favorite! The portion is not small though. Vegetable Gnocchi Medley and twice baked potatoes are our favorite Accompaniments. Baked Garlic Shrimp is amazing also. Overall, a good place to go and always enjoyable experience########## an update after a recent visit and modify the review from 5 stars to 2 stars for 2 reasons.1. The food was far away from the quality we usually had. Blue Cheese Filet with bacon wrapped - bacon was burned. Steak was old and tasteless, so was the cheese on top. Blackened Chicken was disappointing either.2. Customer Service. We waited for over 20 minutes to get the sever place our orders after we grabbed a sit.The food dropped big time, both quality wise and portion wise.

Came here on a Sunday night just two of us. This was our first time to this location on the Esplanade. Sam H. was our server and was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to recommendations. Got baked garlic shrimp, and keg classic top sirloins with garlic mashed. Food was great. Would definitely be back to this location.

Very disappointed with the service this last time. We always go and trust on Keg’s name, not only because of the food but also because of the spectacular service they provide. We usually go to the mansion in every special occasion but this time we chose Esplanade to celebrate my mother-in-law birthday. Reception and sit down was very up to Keg’s standards, nothing to complain about it, and then it comes our server, Sam. He took our order and until the dishes was served, everything was perfectly fine. Soon after, he brought us the bill and left on the table, without me asking and my son had an ice cream included on his kid’s menu which I had to call the server and ask about it. Obviously his answer was “oh, I’m sorry! I’ll bring it right the way!” which it took another 10 minutes to bring his ice cream. Besides, in every special event, it was always brought to our table, without asking, a slice of the ice cream cake they always offered us as courtesy from the house, which it was not brought this time. Anyways, we didn’t even want it that much because we were full but I still had the bill on my table and despite several attempts to try to call the server to pay it, I had to stand up, go to the front and pay at the reception. Now, you might be imagining that the day and the time I’ve been there was extremely busy and you’d impressed when I tell you that it was a Sunday 4pm and I counted not even 10 people inside of the restaurant at that time. Very disappointed with this type of service and I will definitely not coming back to this unit again but also I don’t think I will be ever coming back to any Keg anytime soon. We will be considering other options in our next special occasion.

Steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Water jug was extremely dirty. Service was really slow; bread arrived 20 minutes after arriving and dinner arrived 50 minutes after arriving to the restaurant. They did however throw in a complementary Cesar salad to compensate for the slow service.

Excellent experience at this location of The Keg! We were served very quickly and our waiter made some great recommendations for food and drinks throughout the night. The holiday options (Kansas striploin and mushroom dip) were excellent - I would definitely recommend them. The dessert menu had a lot of options so there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy.The decor inside is very elegant and well suited for a steakhouse. I would suggest the booth for a more intimate seating option. Overall I would definitely return for another dinner!

The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Esplanade
Service was great and food was also wonderful. The prime rib I order was so flavorful. The appetizers were very good too. We order escargot and baked brie. I only didn’t give them 5 stars is because there were some very annoying flies due to the patio doors being opened and we chose to sit inside the restaurant. But otherwise it’s a 5 star.

Great find in Toronto! Had the 20oz Rib Steak and enjoyed every bite. Good wine selection and finished off with a delicious Creme Brulee. Staff was attentive and kept the drinks coming.

One of the better Kegs in my opinion. Went on a Sunday night and it wasn’t too busy. My steak could have been seasoned a little better, but at least everything was very fresh tasting. The server was really attentive and friendly as well.
