Big Boy Arena

This is a cool place alot going on here it has 5 ice rinks nice friendly atmosphere helpful employees. Would be 5 stars if the place wasn't so DATED hopefully some renovations come to these rinks soon but other than that it's a nice fun place I would recommend this place to a friend

I had the pleasure of providing a balloon arch here. The place is amazing and the super friendly staff went over and beyond to accommodate me.

The roller hockey league hosted here is an absolute joke, there is no interest in player safety and teams will take runs at you all night without punishment. Communication with management is one way and unless you manage to track down Mike in person you will be entirely on your own. Now that the league is established the only thing they care about is making a quick buck, Mike couldn’t run a tee ball league with how poorly this is managed.

This place is super awesome. I feel like it's just like being at a wings game. There's tons of kids stuff to do, kids games and events all the time happening there. It even has a bar. I will definitely be taking my kids here again we had a blast.

Does it perhaps show its age at times? Sure, but this is the Mecca of hockey in Macomb County. They have multiple ice rinks inside, as well as an in-line rink. The Big Boy Arena itself is a nice venue with enough seating to hold a minor league hockey team (and I’m kinda surprised that there aren’t more events here - Such as wrestling like they had once upon a time…) Would be nice if there were a few more concession areas and bathrooms but there probably need to be more people showing up to Rockers games first (which, by the way, are a great time with the family.)

Decent food, lot of parking, but due to other games occurring, can be challenging. GO MOTOR CITY ROCKERS!

Would leave less one star if I could. During the last week of June 2023 this place held Theater on Ice US Nationals. On the last day of the competitions, after competitions but before the awards ceremony, rink's officials mandated all the competitors to clear locker rooms from their backpacks... telling teams to bring backpacks out to the rink, and leave them at the top ramp that goes around entire arena, and where all the viewers are moving around to get to/from their seats...My daughter did not like the idea of leaving her personal belongings like that unattended. However, her team manager said that everyone is mandated to bring backpacks to the area of rink specified, and it is not up to the team manager to change.As the result, all those backpacks were left unattended for at least an hour during the award ceremony. All the people were looking down at the ice, while someone had plenty of time to search through all the backpacks left up behind the viewers backs...My daughter's wallet with driver's license, credit cards, debit card, cash, and medical insurance cards, as well as some other small items got stolen. She realized only at the hotel that there is no wallet, when she needed the room key... No, you cannot get on the plain without an ID, you cannot rent a car at age 20 in the US even if you have money... you cannot buy food with no money on you... you cannot get home half a country across like this... On the end, arena management didn't even bother returning phone calls... we left 3 voice messages to 2 different extensions, asking one simple thing: do you have cameras at the rink?" Nope

Local rink with 5 sheets if ice, not maintained super well but it's close and been there forever!!

Never knew this arena even existed. It's clean, well-maintained, and the seating is at glass height on their priority arena, which also has a bar. It was awesome enough stopping by just to watch some beer league, I'm really excited to come back to watch an actual game sometime.
