Our firm, Absolute Events & Management Incorporated contracted CND Engineering Limited to do a site review to verify existing structural framing of a commercial building in Hamilton, ON. In addition, CND Engineering Ltd was asked to do an analysis of the existing roof structure to verify that it can withstand the addition of 12-600lb temporary point loads for a temporary sign installation. CND provided us a stamped structural letter detailing the site review, analysis and conclusions. Part plan was completed in AutoCAD by CND showing the proposed layout of the 12-600lb temporary point loads spaced evenly in a 25’-0” diameter circle. In addition to the above CND Engineering Ltd was asked to analyze the existing lateral force resisting system of the building, and review its capacity to resist the equivalent lateral wind force produced by the inflatable. During the execution of our project, Andrew from CND expedited the completion of all of our documents, and was able to deliver above and beyond what was asked, in a very short amount of time provided to him. We are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with CND, and will absolutely be continuing our relationship with them for all future projects that require engineering services. We thank CND for their hard work, and commitment to getting this job done in a timely and cost effect manner.

I reached out to Andrew recently for a load bearing wall removal project I was undertaking. I have used a few different engineers over the years so I had an idea of what to expect. From the onset, Andrew and his team have surpassed my expectations. They are incredibly detailed, thorough and very easy to deal with. My wife and I were thinking of undertaking a major renovation to our home that was built in 1928. After first dealing with a company that failed to meet our expectations, we contacted CND Engineering. Andrew Zorko visited with us numerous times to offer his advice and expertise on possible solutions to some of the challenges we were facing. His professionalism was evident from the first time we met and his attention to detail is unparalleled. Andrew was able to provide for us detailed, permit-ready plans for our renovations that we could then present to contractors. This was done in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. Andrew was also always available for an evening phone call when my wife and I had questions about the scope of our project. In the end, we did not pursue a renovation, choosing instead to purchase another home. Thankfully, using the services and advice of CND Engineering, helped us to conclude that a new home purchase would be more financially prudent than a major home renovation.

Working CND was a great experiwnce! Andrew, our engineer from CND, delivered exactly as promised! His drawings were approved immediately by City Inspector. His professionalism with following up on our project at scheduled phases, made us feel we were in good hands with this major renovation and that the finished product was going to be built with safety and integrity.We removed a load-bearing wall with one beam which ran the distance of our house. It provided an open concept on the main floor. Andrew made recommendations which improved the final look....things we has not considered. He was an integral part of the project.
