Wonderful place with a welcoming host. Madonna took the time to give us a little tour and shared some family history with us. Provided us with homemade muffins and we picked apples from one of her apple trees. The little cottage was perfect and had everything we needed with a beautiful view of the bay.

Excellent place to stay on Fogo Island. Great rooms and the owners are pleasant. The fresh bread and jam they made us for breakfast was awesome! Very close to walking trails and the Fogo Inn if you want to see those as well as art galleries. I would certainly come back and stay here again!

Exta friendly. Super place. Ceilings are a bit low but it is a real authentic fisherman's house. I would book again if I was in the area.

If you are looking for the best lodging in Fogo, this is the one! Host Madonna is super nice and the house has one of the best spots to see sunset.

Always a comfort and joy staying at Landwash Lodging, a rest for your heart, and the children love coming ‘home’ to ‘Fodo island’ to stay at their ‘cabin’ known as Landwash!

Madonna let us stay in a small cabin across from her home. It has a porch right over the water and the house is so cozy. It has every amenity that you could hope for and Madonna was there with all the local info re food and sites. I only wish that we could have stayed there a bit longer.
