I had the chance to stop in to this Long and Mcquade. I knew going in it was a small store. But honestly, it has a decent selection of....well....everything.The staff was very friendly, and offered assistance. They were not overbearing in any way.I'd recommend stopping here to any fellow musicians.Check out all of my honest Google reviews. My photos have over 12,000,000 views!

Informative and helpful staff Andrew and Ann Marie were able to gear me up with a cello and everything needed to get started in surprisingly record time and an again surprisingly affordable price! Almost seemed too easy!!

Our second trip to the store. Bought an electric guitar the first time. This time a keyboard. Selection was great, staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend and will definitely be back.

I found a used Gibson LP online so I emailed the store and I got a quick reply from Andrew. He told me the history of the guitar and gave me a shipping quote. I agreed to purchase it and he sent me additional pictures and updates as he set it all up. After 3 days I got my LP in one piece. It was well padded and it even looks brand new. Great service and great guitar!

They are so kind, and welcoming. I know nothing about how to play a guitar, but I bought a cheap one to learn on, and they called me when it arrived, as I was picking it up they gave me a bunch of free picks, and gave it a free tune (even though it will need a lot more lol).

I walked in. two sales men ignored me. I thought one had to use the washroom but no he just was walking any from me. I got him over and felt like I was pulling HIM away from...? I inquired about sax parts and he just treated me like I didn't know anything about saxophones. I have been playing a long time. He then talks over me like he's the know it all, says I can't get parts and when I was trying to work a way to get replacement parts he giggles or laughs, whatever you want to call it. I felt berated and insulted by this gray haired over weight man. I would rather rip the leather from a rare deer hide to make the pads and sail across the Atlantic to the Mediterranean and slice my own cork before I spend another dime at that location.

This L&M store location will go out of their way just to serve you in or out of office hours. Kudos to the team of manager Paul and Brock for their courteous expertise. What an excellent customer experience. 5 STARS to these wonderful friendly staff. They will make it happen to their best abilities. Long and McQuade is truly a family store and not just for ROCKSTARS in the making period.

Very helpful and knowledgeable with my inquiries. They offer many great services and in my case shipped an item from their Halifax store to their New Minas store with no extra charges! hopefully taking some instruments in for repair soon!
