Honestly the best cocktail bar in Canmore, hands down. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the cocktail menu had a flavour for every palate, and to top it off, a rustic decor to relax with friends. Didn’t eat here, but I’ll certainly consider it next time.

The drinks were awesome and next time we stop by it will likely just be for a couple drinks. Our first beverages didn’t come out until after our second appetizer (20-30 mins in) which would be okay but the place wasn’t very busy and the people next to us were seated after us and we’re getting pretty decent service in comparison. The calamari in my opinion is super oily and the breading is thick, it was okay but not anything I would order again, my mussels and frites I found very flavourless and cold I probably only had 5 mussels before I decided it wasn’t worth eating. After about 30 minutes the waiter cleared my plate without asking why I barely touched it or offering to pack it up. The beef croquets were great and like I said the cocktails were 10/10, the service although a bit slow was super friendly and the atmosphere Is worth checking out alone.

The food was fantastic. Probability among the best dinners I have ever had. However, with only one server and a manager to help out, they were simply overwhelmed. The manager and a waiter truly care - I saw the waiter not being happy with the dish spoke to the manager, who right away asked the kitchen to fix whatever was wrong. The staff refused to serve sub-par food. Awesome! Well done!

First time here, wasn't overly hungry so we only had the soup of the day (Curried Carrot) and the Drunken Calamari. Both excellent! Calamari is exceedingly delicious. Large Calamari strips, lightly breaded, lightly peppered, garnished with cilantro and tobiko and served with tobiko aioli and fresh lemon wedge. The curried carrot soup was very enjoyable with sourdough bread on the side and chili oil drizzle.We also enjoyed the following cocktails,High Violet, Hops and Dreams, Midnight Cowboy and Purple Haze.For a guy that doesn't care much for hops, Hops & Dreams was delicious. High Violet is made with Empress Gin (a personal favorite) and was super refreshing although I personally found the lavender bitters a little overpowering. We both agreed that Purple Haze (Mezcal based) was Stupid Good!!!!". Did I mention I don't like tequila

I’m not a chef so maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t believe it takes over 1 hour to make a steak. Not only did we not get checked up on once in that hour, but we watched people come in, sit down, order, eat, pack, pay and leave on two occasions after we had already ordered the food. I’m sure the food is great, but we won’t know. We paid for the drink and left. I’m not sure why this happened, maybe it’s because we’re a younger couple or maybe it was a simple mistake but with all the amazing restaurants around, don’t risk it here.

The most incredible food I may have ever tasted, (I had the huevos rancheros for brunch), the service was fantastic, and atmosphere was 10/10. I love the vintage style funky dishes and glasses, cutest coffee cups and saucers. My favourite restaurant in all of Canmore and beyond. Highly recommend the Canmore Saloon to anyone and everyone for a fun, unique and super tasty dining experience. Dog friendly patio!!!
