I really enjoyed their seafood chowder , Cod fish and chips. The food was so fresh and delicious. I love this little Fish n Chips place. They have the perfect choices suitable for anyone. Would love to try their other dishes too.

Its usually halibut, salmon, or cod managed to veer off my typical menu choices and explore the Arctic Char for my Fish and Chips order. From the onset, the service representative demonstrated a commendable level of hospitality and eagerness to cater to this unique request since it was not on the menu that was very nice of them. Now, onto the main event - the Arctic Char Fish and Chips. To say it was superb would be an understatement. The perfectly fried Arctic Char exceeded all my expectations. It was succulent and full of flavour, pairing harmoniously with the crispy chips. This dish struck a perfect balance between the delicate fish and the satisfyingly crunchy chips. Its like a perfect balance between trout and salmon in taste. This was, without a doubt, the best Arctic Char Fish and Chips I have ever had in Canada. Their tartar sauce is also to die for they now sell it in mason jars great choice.Rating: 5/5 Stars

We are repeat customers! This is the best fish and chips shop in the city and I am very sure it is not close. Loved it all today! And a big fan of the new scallop bites. Fun!

This is a small little spot with some delicious food. The cook (who I think was the owner) was very friendly to everyone who came in. The fish and chips is very tasty!

They use top-notch ingredients, and you can truly taste the difference. The fish is always fresh and perfectly cooked, resulting in a delightful crispy batter and tender, flaky cod. It's pure seafood perfection! The portion sizes at The Fish Counter are very generous. I typically opt for the 2 piece pacific cod, and it's more than enough to satisfy two hungry individuals. The staff at The Fish Counter create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making us feel appreciated. It's no surprise that The Fish Counter often has a lineup. Trust me, the wait is absolutely worth it. If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend checking them out.

Had to put a lot more salt on everything but the cod was nice and crisp. Not very much seating inside but fish and chips is fine sidewalk-sitting food

A very cool local spot with gluten free fish and chips!!! So amazing. Fries and halibut chips were outstanding and cooked in a separate safe frier. Worth the trek. Also got the dairy free clam chowder!

After a long and rewarding stroll from downtown to the Bloedel conservatory, I enjoyed one of the best , if not the best, fish and chips of my life. I was recommended to try the halibut and, oh boy! Heavenly, not oily at all, crispy and light, seasoned to perfection. A generous serving of fish on a bed of fantastic fries, coleslaw and tartar dip. Super friendly staff, cool and laidback interior, with some seating by the window. Really really recommended, as they focus on local, seasonal and sustainable seafood. Really awesome!

Halibut & chips and fried oysters have a nice light batter. Very fresh from the sea. The halibut was cooked perfectly maintaining its texture with a lightness to it. Absolutely delicious. The fries were also very good, tasted freshly cut and fried, somewhat like NY Fries. We got takeout so the oysters were a bit overcooked and cold by the time we got home. But when eating at the counter, very nice! This time, disappointed with the size. I ordered four oysters, and at $3.99 each, I expected them to be bigger. Here you can see that they are the size of a tablespoon. Aside from the size of the oysters, I give this place 5 stars for the quality and taste.
