I have been going to this vet for years with family animals, and now my own two dogs. My one dog is an extremely anxious rescue. We went in today for his booster shot and had the best experience with a vet tech named Vanessa. She took her time with our dog to make sure his experience was a good one. She was kind, patient and compassionate. I am really appreciative of her approach. It made a stressful task of taking an anxious 100lb dog to the vet much more enjoyable. Thank you Vanessa!

I have been beyond impressed with Dr. McIninch. She is extremely kind and knowledgeable. She takes her time during the appointments to address my concerns. The staff at the front desk are always very kind and welcoming. They go out of their way to greet my dog and I. I have worked in two vet clinics myself, so I have high standards for vet clinics and VCA Barrie has exceeded those!

What an incredible experience at VCA animal hospital today! We brought our little chihuahua in because she had a small cyst between her toes that looked puffy and painful. We made an appointment for the same day (today), and we waited in the waiting room for 45 mins from beginning to end of the visit. This vet hospital was the only one open on thanksgiving Monday, and they were ready to help us. Absolutely incredible, kind, compassionate staff. The doctor explained everything and answered all our questions without rushing us. The exam fee, considering it’s an emergency visit, was extremely reasonable - $145. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone, especially in a pinch! Thank you SO much again for helping our dog and making us feel so welcome! 5 stars!!

My pets are in pain and I’m so disappointed. This veterinarian practice used to be amazing but the last year we’ve been going has been a continual frustration. My one dog has had an ongoing eye issue starting with cataracts at age 3. Fast forward 3 years and we noticed her eyes looking worse. When brought up to the vet on how she was losing vision and bumping into things, we were told “I’m not very good at retinal scans but her eyes look fine to me.” Next appointment we brought it up again and were told it looks fine but we can have drops if we want but not needed yet. Taking this we kept monitoring her until recently, her eye has become bulging and red. Next appointment and we were told that of course this would happen as we never did the eye drops. I’m frustrated we weren’t told the seriousness of her situation as we would have began prevention years ago! Now my other dog has developed an ear infection. I called and was told there was no appointments that day but we could see the vet tomorrow. I show up at the clinic the next day and they never scheduled the appointment, they can’t do anything for me. I asked who would I have talked to and the person at reception said she was in that day but doesn’t know who I would have talked to and to have a nice day. So now I have two sick dogs and no help on either situation….Doesn’t sit right with me when their business is entirely animals.

Been with this clinic for a few years now and am grateful to the staff at the facility for the help and care they give my fur-babies. I recommend this place to everyone for reasonable pricing and to care, well and thoroughly, for their pets. At end of life they are exceptionally compassionate and loving and during emergency they really care about the wellbeing of my pets.

Amazing staff. So friendly and caring with your pets and also makes the whole experience so relaxed.

Took my pup for first visit. Amazing getting to deal with such a lovely staff. Great customer service and very attentive to your pet. Great safety protocols as well for covid does both curbside and in person (1 human) per visit with pet. Would highly recommend a great place to take care of your animal when they need it the most. Continues I have been going for years now and they are amazing at every visit. Keep up the good work my go to for medical needs in Barrie!

I'm not even a client, but they are close to my house. The staff is great, always helpful, especially with letting me weigh my puppy!

Excellent Dr. Dianne and Staff very awesome very kind and really listen to you about what your animals are like, and habits and also suggesting sending ahead of time to Pet Insurance to see what they will cover rather than just make u pay first.Thank you Tia & Jersey were very comfortable at the clinicCheryl
