I brought my guitar to Andy and he did excellent work. He worked on my year 2000 larrivee L–02. The problems he fixed were loose brace behind the belly of the bridge, glued some loose binding on the fingerboard, and reinforced the bridge plate with an overlay of really nice matching wood. The bridge plate on my guitar was chewed up and Andy fixed it and now it’s solid and sounds really good perhaps because of better energy transfer. He also installed some reinforcement to the side of my guitar that had two cracks. The wood he used matched the mahogany so it doesn’t look like repair it looks like it’s part of the original construction. My Larrivee was unplayable prior to bringing it to Andy but he brought it back to life. thanks Andy for the great work

I took my 1975 Martin D-28 to Andy because it was in need of some TLC after 40 odd years. He replaced all the frets, leveled the fingerboard which was worn with use, put in a new bone nut and saddle replacing the original plastic ones. He said it would play like a new guitar when he was done and he was correct. It fingers perfectly and the tone and response is amazing. His workmanship is spot on. Everything he did looks flawless. The guy is a master and his pricing is very reasonable.

My 12- string was cracked and pulling itself apart to the point it was unplayable. Andy did a great work on it. A year later it still stays in tune and plays great! This is my go-to shop for any future guitar repair!

Don't let the look of the shop fool you. Andy Nicoll is the best Luthier in town and possibly Western Canada!.I first met Mr Nicoll many years ago when I acquired an very early and rare Larrivee, that needed some major TLC. I took it to Brian at Avenue Guitars and he told me it was too nice" and gave me Andy's ph#.Knowing that this guitar might be rare and valuable I then took it to Long and McQuade

I am so please the work that Andy did on a Yamaha that my Dad willed to me, it was 36 years old , he did a lot of work replacing the saddle and saddle plate, removing the neck and fixing it, he had to deal with a messed up neck that was repaired years ago , When I hit those strings it gave me goosebumps, The E string just resonates, didn’t know a Yamaha could sound this good ! Andy truly is a master at his craft!

Looking for the right guy? This is the right guy. My oldest guitar, had it for 17 years, had a friends amp fall over on it and break it. Seen a lot of bad repairs, seen a lot of bad finishes. I was worried I'd only have it as a decoration. Bring it in, he says that's not so bad". You can see the grain

Andy did a stellar job today, making and installing a new bone nut on my vintage 1956 Telecaster. Andy has done work for me in the past on other vintage guitars, including fixing the binding on a 1965 Fender Custom Telecaster and some loose frets on a 1964 Stratocaster. I highly recommend him, for his patient and thorough attention to detail.

Andy was always very communicative and explained exactly what was going on with my guitar. The neck joint ended up being more complex than he originally thought, but didn't charge me more than what he estimated. He did an excellent job, highly recommend and it plays really well. He really cares about his work and it shows. Highly recommend.

I brought my Martin DCPA4 to Andy for repair. I had a tumble and cracked the back with my elbow. He took great care and fixed it up very nicely for me. Good service and affordable price.. I recommend!
