I will to caveat this review by saying that we've had a great experience with the in-building staff, particularly the maintenance team who is fantastic.Unfortunately, we have had a terrible experience with the building management team and would absolutely not recommend this building because of them. They do not care about you at all once they have you in the building. They hide behind the in-building staff, intentionally being very difficult to connect with, despite them having all of the decision-making authority. We also received terrible customer service - they took weeks on end to answer us and were incredibly rude and dismissive. We were at the end of our annual lease and looking to re-negotiate a 12-month term, not only did they take an unacceptably long time to respond, but they told lie after lie. They were intentionally deceitful about the pricing that they were offering, including lying to us about the price of the units, the bonus offers, the cost of additional services such as in-suite laundry, etc. In summary, they are not transparent, honest, or timely. They do not care about you as a client after they have you in the building, and will do nothing for you.

Lived here a year & a half. I signed the lease a month pre-construction and wasn’t told about any plans or any notice about any upcoming construction prior to moving in except when i paid my deposit and had already signed everything so there was no turning back. This was so sneaky and very disappointing because i wouldve looked elsewhere if i had known. Firstly, the fire alarm goes off at least 3 times a week, just randomly. And the security guards need training, they have absolutely no idea what they are doing and come on the loud speakers without a word of English so no one knows what the hell is going on. Construction is 6 days a week 7am to 7pm, it’s jack hammers, banging, you name it. There is no way to block out the noise, trust me, we tried. They closed the gym and pool so we got it use it a mere 2 or 3 times. Management were okay, i know they tried their best to make us happy but it really wasn’t great quality of life living there. They really should’ve just closed the entire building down and got the whole thing done in a year. I wouldn’t recommend moving in, wait until 2021 when it’s all done because it looks like it’s going to be a very flash apartment building, prob well above $2k rent though.The apartment above us was so noisy when we were trying to sleep and we notified management and security many times and they did nothing, so we gave up.Not gonna lie, the apartments are actually really nice and very large for the price you pay, i liked ours a lot but it was just hard having to deal with being woken up every morning. We put up with a lot while living here. Now my next apartments i’ll be asking up front about all the construction plans!!

Very much enjoying the place so far. You can access a lot of amenities like a gym, swimming pool and really nice terrace that the management team used for an outdoor cinema event. The maintenance team has always been quick and it has been great in terms of communicating with the staff team. Although the place can have a lot of noises due to fire trucks and ambulances, but hey, there are lots of dogs in this building and I am willing to take it for the dogs.

The apartment is amazing with numerous facilities provided there. The only thing is that while renting & providing the keys, you just have to provide them multiple reminders.

Lived for 2 months so far, and it is solid. Very spacious apartments that allow for comfort, with massive windows. The gym I would say is better than what most apartments offer. The amenities in general are clean! Only downside is some noise from outside but its not unexpected given the location.

I have been in contact with an agent to rent in this building. Although the agent was very friendly and helpful the application portal and the management team are amateur at best. The portal randomly bugs out with no explanations and the response time is very slow. It took around 2 weeks for them to let me know they dont like something about my application and they will have to send my deposit back with a paper cheque (yea 2021 hurray). All in all, not worth the struggle. Avoid unless you want to waste your time. I guess there is a reason why they are struggling to rent out the units in this building...

lived here 5+ years, enjoy living herePRO: central location (close to universities, hospitals, grocery stores, restaurants, subway station, everything), management/maintenance workers are super nice, always respond to my concerns within 24hr, safe area, apartments are large/spacious, clean, tenants are mostly young professionals and/or students, rent cost includes heat & hydroCONS: construction all the time since I have been living there, can be loud if trying to sleep during the day. I live in an old unit so appliances need an upgrade, no in-suite laundry (shared laundry facilities in building), no gym (however the management did reimburse residents when they closed down the gym for renos), no concierge

My experience with Yeseul and the staff at 77 Gerrard was great - they answered all of my questions thoroughly, had numerous viewing options due to COVID, and followed up promptly in regards to my rental application and other questions. The units look excellent as well.I didn't hear construction noise personally while I was there, but it seems reasonable that there will be some noise near a building in central Toronto, within walking distance of multiple subway stations and hospitals. Otherwise, all positives at least in my experience!

Those guys are literary the worst. They have construction at 6 am every single morning. They're constantly having fire alarms, they shut down the elevators and for someone that lives above the 10th floor I would have to take the stairs every single day which is just pathetic.The air conditioner and the heater is another story... they have versions from the 1900s and they make enormous noises while operating which makes your head hurts and they're super efficient. Those guys claim they have a pool and a gym; it has been closed for almost 2 and half years now, which pisses me off. I definitely do not recommend it.
