Pastries are dry I wont be buying them again but the egg and rye breads are still the best from this bakery.

I used to go to this bakery on a daily basis when I studied at Concordia University in 2017. That was years ago. But I still remember the rye bread, croissant and blueberry Danish pastry here. The memory became fresh again when i went to a family-run bakery in where i currently live, bought the rye bread that tasted similarly. Back to those days in Montreal, I remember on a snowy chilly winter day, i walked into this store, the old salesclerk greeted me with Boujour Mademoiselle" and a big smile."

Used to be my goto bakery but quality is going downhill. Ever since they have started pre bagging their onion and hulla rolls, they are selling one to two day old as fresh. Do not buy pre bagged rolls at regular price. Also their rye bread seems to be using less rye flour by the day.

Been going to this bakery for over ten years now! Drive further to get fresh baked bread. The last3 times I went the rye bread was old or dry? No point of going there anymore, if you can buy the same poor quality at the grocery store for cheaper.

I was in the mood for the triangular scones filled with poppy seeds, from the memories I had of them from Cantor long ago, anyhow they were the worst thing I've ever tasted, the dough was dry, crumbly and too salty! The poppyseed filling was ok. Next time I'll try and get them from Cheskie's or Montreal Kosher

Disappointed the last few times buying rye or Kimmel bread. Not only is it dry but it doesn’t even taste like rye bread, and forget about the kimmel…. It tastes like plain white bread. The price has gone up and the quality has gone down. Too many short cuts in the recipe. Too bad ☹️

I love having them close by for fresh, inexpensive bread and pastries with many varieties to choose from. Unfortunately all the pastries I’ve tried have a dense, bready texture rather than a flaky texture you would expect. I think they must use the same base for most of them and while it’s not the best desserts I’ve had, they are pretty cheap.

They are **Cash Only** The bread here is really strong. Theres a reason they can be found in many grocery stores. I recommend the sesame seed egg buns. The mille feuilles was fantastic as well. If you like jerky try the kernatzel, its more fresh less salted and goes down easy

I’ve always loved the rye bread, which is available at my Metro store. However, lately I have found that your rye bread is dry, unevenly sliced and is definitely not the same quality as before. Previously the bread was dense, chewy and delicious, and you could taste the rye flavour! Have you changed the process...or the flour? Something is different for sure, and I have considered buying from another source! Please bring back your original rye bread!
