The Boathouse Restaurant
Was with a party of 8. Server was nice and efficient. They serve crew were on top of always making sure drinks were topped up.Ordered steak medium rare but came out more medium. Wasn’t super dry so just ate it. The garlic mashed were very tasty and veggies were standard.Co-worker ordered lobster. He said it was fine. Was market price so $65 for his dishVirgin Caesar was bland. I now realize I think they missed adding worcheshire. Couldn’t figure out what was missing until now.Desserts: ordered creme brûlée. I think it’s the worst that I have ever tasted. Came out and you can see that the top sugar layer is super thick and doesn’t look anything like it should. Has to peel it off because it just wasn’t edible. Wasn’t caramelized seemed like they just melted the sugar a bit and poured it on. The main part didn’t taste like it should. It was creamy and almost taste like a pudding. Was quite sweet too! So only ate half. Fir $12 definitely not worth it. Looking at aesthetics was kind of amateur looking with the drizzle and the whip cream. I was looking forward to at least eating the gooseberry, but if you look in the photo, it doesn’t even look like it should. It’s an odd colour and had an odd taste! It seemed like the steamed or boiled it. Was super odd! It was soft and mushy. My co-worker had the lava cake. That was also a bust! She let me try some. The cake had a strange consistence. Wasn’t dense like it normally is and had no lava inside.Another co-worker had an expresso ice cream cake. It was massive and did look like Keg’s Billy miner cake. Person said it tasted similar.Considering how much you pay to eat there, I wouldn’t go back. To pay that much again to give it a second try, there’s so many other places I would rather go to.

Great selection of seafood and this chain seems to have the best locations in the lower mainland (by the water). Enjoyed the soup and salad. Soup was small but chunky with a good amount of seafood. Salad is a little bare. If u like a more substantial Caesar salad order the entree. This one only has Parmesan and leaves. Most dishes are a good portion. Price is reasonable and I love that they serve brunch (extensive menu) in late afternoon.

This has been my least favorite boathouse experience. The one at Rocky Point is great, white rock location is ok, this one was mediocre at best. The ceviche isn't really ceviche. And it's very small. To their credit they did remove it from the bill. The hot crab dip tastes like canned crab and had little flavor. The seafood cioppini was good although once into the broth, it was very salty, to the point I couldn't finish it. The grilled salmon was good and saves this from being a 2 star review. Our server was very kind albeit a bit innatentive. Drinks often were empty and it took a long time to get our bill and a to go box.The restaurant itself is nice and it was nice to sit and look over the river and it was clean which puts the restaurant itself one step up from the white rock location though the food is better at white rock. Not sure if we'd come back to this location, it's worth the extra drive time to go to rocky point.

I was on my lunchbreak and didn't have much time. They made my burger pretty fast and it tasted amazing! Nice big and crispy fries too. The server Kyle was never gone for more than 5 minutes, really appreciate it. Was able to get back to work on time.

Food tastes good but portions are too small.Tuna poki bowl was a good price for the amount of food but not enough rice for a poki bowl. It's more like a salad.Got the seafood platter for 3 to 4 people. In reality it's more like 1 to 2 people. Definitely no where close to enough for even 3 people. The calamari was also extremely tiny. No piece was larger than one segment on my finger.Fish and chips was good. 3 pieces of fish and some fries. Swappable for yam fries for $4 but there wasn't a lot of fries. For a place that specializes in seafood, the seafood isn't very big. For similar experience at similar price go to Cactus club. For better and larger seafood go to a chinese resturant. Service is not as good but amount of food is way bigger for the same price.

Been to three different boathouse restaurants this one included. Nice atmosphere, service is okay, but the food is clearly overpriced and not that tasty. Ordered for pick up today, fish and chips, lava cake, and burger. Fish and chips (battered) had large bones in it, the lava cake that came with ice cream, had a piece of white plastic in it. Lucky I did not break my tooth. Very sad

I had dinner with 2 friends. The service was great. We sat indoors by a window table enjoying scenic Fraser River. We had Sirloin Steak, Sea Food Grill & Grilled Salmon. Very good food overall, the Salmon from the seafood grill dish was a bit bland...The Moca Ice Cream Pie was exceptional!!!We're served by Ivan & he truly made our dinner special, very attentive & professional!!!Great location for post meal promenade!!!

First time to this location. View was wonderful. The food was delicious. They were busy for lunch, so our food came out slowly, but the waitresses were friendly and attentive. We ordered more food (than normal for lunchtime) as we had gift cards. The lobster bisque was good but the seafood chower was better. The crab stuffed ravioli was nice but lacked in taste. Calamari had a light batter and a light, soft crunch. It comes with 2 sauces...we enjoyed the sweet chili. We couldn't finished our fish and chips, so we took that home and our boys raved that it was the best they had! Lastly, because there is always room for dessert, we had the creme brulee AND it was sooooo good! An expensive lunch but definitely worth it!

Ate dinner here with friends on our visit to Vancouver. This restaurant is uniquely decorated and features beautiful views to complement its superbly delicious menu. The seafood tastes incredible-- the grilled salmon was luxuriously buttery and flavourful. I enjoyed every bite! Our server Marsha was professional, attentive, friendly, and overall very lovely to our group as we finished dining near the end of the evening. Thanks for a great experience and we hope to visit again in the near future when we are in the area once more.
