BMV Books

Good assortment of new and used books. Huge collection of comics and graphic novels as well. Offers good prices on some of the used books. I came here looking for books in Stephen King's Dark Tower series, and this store had all the volumes when I visited in March 2023. Friendly staff and warm atmosphere overall.

One of the best places for books better hard to find and graphic novels/comics. Now that silver snail is moved away I think it's pretty much the only place in the area for comics. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable

I had the pleasure of returning to BMV after many years and it was a delight. In my youth, BMV satiated my desire for Spider-Man comics. Today, they satiate my love for Christian books and philosophy and more. The low prices are truly blessed.

Great to be back at this store after two years. Found a comic I was looking for at a great price as always. I wish this place has booming business for years to come so it can maintain this great value and service.

Full disclosure: I love and hoard books like some kind of book dragon, please consider that my review is biased. BMV is probably the best place to buy books in Toronto. It's just an experience to go there and browse the shelves because you'll never know what you'll find (or what a great deal it is). The size and scope of this location make it just phenomenal. The staff I encountered do their best to help. I asked about some obscure titles, so no fault of theirs for not knowing exactly what I was looking for, but after some friendly conversation, they could at least point me towards the best place to look (didn't find what I was looking for...did find a lot of books I didn't know I needed). Overall, I could spend hours here just being among all the books and the friendly staff certainly help!

an amazing selection of books, magazines, comics and CDs for a more affordable price!! it's tucked away on not so busy Edward Street, minutes away from Dundas square. I know many students stop by here to grab any class materials (books, textbooks, etc.) !! also great for a quick grab to take to the park when the weather is sunny!

This bookstore is an absolute gem. Rare finds, old and new. My son loved it more than any other bookstore he has ever been to. Will definitely make the trip back. The employees/ owners( not sure) were so friendly and helpful.

Extensive resources and product at this location More books on every subject than you could ever want. Well displayed and easy to find. Competent, courteous and knowledgeable staff willing to guide you in the right direction for browsing if that's what you want. If you want somebody to find a particular book for you they can do that for you too. And I didn't even look in their video section. I'm sure it's very good but I have no need for that product at this particular time.

Terrible store. Sign says they buy old books but when you bring your books (all were in amazing, almost new condition and some were new books, that had been purchased from Indigo) a very unaware, disrespectful, dismissive and uneducated looking person at the back, tells you that they don’t buy old books. When you tell them about the sign they have in the store that they buy, he responds these books don’t interest him! It’s sad the whole store’s book buying decision making is left to this person. Never going again!

A great place to look around for books never know what u are going to get. Some books are a bit pricy but all of them are in good condition and you might find a keepers. Definitely coming back to check it out again. They also buy books too.
