Ottawa Moving and Delivery

My wife and I just had a bedroom set moved from somebodies' house to ours. We used Ottawa Moving and Delivery, we found the boss very well mannered, honest, and efficient. His two workers who did the job were very careful and concerned, making sure they did the best possible job and were very nice. We have nothing but praise for all of them

Excellent moving company, calls ahead, arrives on time and were very mindful of my things. I noticed they blanket wrapped all breakables and even the couches which I really appreciated.At the end they asked if I needed anything else moved while they were there and had the space !All in all very respectable and reliable moving company, would definitely recommend and give 5 stars!Thanks so much!

I made arrangements well in advance to have furniture picked up. I emailed and called multiple times the day before and the day of the scheduled pick-up and delivery. Nothing. They don’t have a direct phone line. You have to wait for them to respond. I’m still waiting and I’ve hired a different company. I’m trying to do this all from Toronto in advance of my move to Ottawa later in the month so this has just added to my stress.

I hired Ottawa Moving and Delivery to move a very heavy upright piano to a different floor in a retirement residence. The movers were friendly, efficient, and very strong. They followed all Covid Safety protocols. Since the move went so smoothly they moved some curio cabinets as well at no extra cost. I highly recommend. Thanks, Dale.

My wife Anne-Sophie and I are very happy with Ottawa Moving and Delivery. Our move was a big one and they did a very good job over 2 days; specifically it was a pleasure to deal with Juste. You can see they like what they do and take it seriously. They take lots of precaution and thoroughly wrap all the furniture. Overall pleasant and motivated staff. Juste made a good inspection when the move was completed.

Very dissatisfied with this company's service (my partner and I).Here is where they got it wrong:- We changed our booking time from the 20th to the 12th, and they confirmed that they changed it. Only the DAY BEFORE our move after calling them, were we told they still had our move booked for the 20th. They switched our moving time last minute to between 3pm and 4pm on the 12th instead of 9am like it was supposed to be. First red flag.- The movers arrived at 4pm. They worked excruciatingly slowly, as if they were doing it on purpose to make us pay more. They took breaks regularly, even 15 minute smoking breaks, and we still had to pay them for all of these times when they were not even working. They would move very light things with both hands instead of trying to make the move as quick and efficient as possible. My boyfriend and I ended up doing a big part of the work.-We found the movers to be unprofessional.-Worst of all, they couldn't even fit everything in the truck! They showed up with a small truck and took extra time because they had to dismantle multiple pieces of furniture that weren't even large to make them fit in the small truck. We were expecting a much bigger truck (as they came with a much larger truck when I used their services before; probably 3 or 4 times the size of the one they came with this time).I will not use their services again. They made the move take much, much longer and be way more stressful than needed. Not only that, but they damaged our furniture.

I had to move last minute, I inquired with them and the agent, Lin, who's very accommodating and professional, are very knowledgeable and gave me the answers to my questions upfront, no beating around the bush.I told them my situation and were willing to help, I had no time to pack and offered full services as well, I didn't know that is possible! what a relief!They also offered help to disassemble and assemble some furniture should I need one, I didn't - but that is good to know!I went in the store thinking that they just do the delivery, had no idea that they can help with the stuff that stresses me the most - the careful packing, the proper equipments, etc.And come moving day, all went according to the plan! Nick and (I forgot the name of the other mover, I apologize) were quick, courteous and well mannered -I got all my stuff back, no broken and missing items!Will definitely recommend Ottawa Moving and Delivery on every move!

July 31,2020 the movers I had scheduled cancelled on me last minute. I was really stuck and freaking out since I didn’t have a truck nor movers. I had to be out of the unit since new people were moving in August 1 in the morning. I contacted Ottawa moving and delivery. Even though they were completely booked with 20 plus moves scheduled that day. They showed up at 1am after they were done all their scheduled moves. I will forever be grateful even though they were exhausted they saved the day and completed my move very fast and professionally. I highly recommend them. Their trucks are quite big, new and clean.

I was very happy with these guys. We had a short booking period which they accommodated, the communication was excellent from the office to the dispatcher to the crew on move day and the movers we're polite and helpful. Pricing was great. We had a smaller move, 1 room, so cant say what a big job would be like but I was really happy.

Maybe they sent us their B crew (or D crew even), but our experience with this company was atrocious. They made our move earlier this month more stressful and more work for us -- which is the exact opposite reason to hire a moving company, amiright?-The movers moved and worked painfully slowly.-The movers spent way too much time chatting, standing around, checking and talking on their phones.-The movers were arrogant and rude (for some reason).-My partner and I ended up easily performing almost half the move on our own once it became clear that these guys didn't care or were simply fleecing us to prolong the move time.We wrote a very detailed and eloquent email to management and ownership and they provided a totally unacceptable response with pea-brain reasoning and lame excuses, including being dishonest about sending a third mover to help speed things up (they actually rotated two movers with only one original mover being there the entire time, clearly moving workers based on those who didn't want to work anymore that day or were needed at other jobs). Nothing p!$$es me off more than having my credibility and intelligence insulted.This company seems to have some strong reviews, so clearly they sometimes hit the mark, but the bad reviews are brutal and if they were smart they would tighten that up. Or just keep taking the aggregate, I don't care. I'll never use them again and sure as hell never recommend them. Good riddance.
