Our couch in #1 had some broken springs and one side sat much lower. The TVs and service are dated. They really need to be updated. Also leave some binder, brochures, recommendations about the local area. There are no personal touches which was disappointing. Maybe a personal note, etcI would stay here again in a heartbeat though. The location cannot be beat.

Amazing stay with Lantern Hill & Hallow in the Moonbeamer Cottage. The fireplace and whirlpool tub were perfect for relaxing in the evening and the private beach access made for a day of adventure :) The staff were very kind and welcoming as well!!

Place was great. Hostess was great as well. We felt like we were the only people there. Beach was amazing and kids played and explored all day. BBQ for sunset cooking and quaint accommodation made everything comfortable. Sleep, cooking, relaxing, play and fun. Campfire on the beaches were amazing and sound of the ocean crashing made sleeping easy. Hope to go back there one day.

This was our last stop on our Cape Breton trip. We could not have asked for a more beautiful location. We stayed in the Inn, which was quite spacious and had a direct view of the ocean. The grounds are immaculately kept as well. The main attraction has to be access to the private beach. The only area of improvement in our view would be more amenities (E.g., bathroom products and snacks/refreshments at the lobby desk).

Great stay at the Lantern Hill & Hollow. Quick check in and great view of the Atlantic Ocean! I just wish it was warmer when I was there so I could have enjoyed it more!I do have two requests to the Lantern Hill & Hollow to make it better. There should be more than one mirror (only in the washroom). With four people staying and only one mirror in the one washroom, it wasn’t enough. Each bedroom should also have a mirror.I also think you should have cribs available for people who require it. Since I am paying what I would for a hotel - it should definitely be available for those who need it.Other than that, excellent stay, and would come back again!

Simply beautiful. We stayed in the Oceania room in the main lodge, and weren't disappointed. Although we arrived late, a welcome letter and keys were thoughtfully left for us, making us feel right at home. We had a campfire on the beach, and later slept with the balcony door open to hear the sound of the ocean surf mere feet away. This is a perfect place to explore the Cabot Trail from, and is convenient to several local seafood and casual restaurants.

We stayed in one of the new rooms in the main building for one night and absolutely loved this place. The room was beautiful and spotless and had a private balcony looking out towards the beach. The beach was nice and sandy and the water was warm. The grounds are beautiful. We would definitely stay here again. We loved it!

This place is beautiful! Tucked in off the road, overlooking the beach, with beautiful gardens and lots of lounging areas.Stayed in the main house in a stunningly beautiful room with its own private balcony. It felt luxurious and calm.The bed was so comfortable after a long hike and drive - only wish we had booked for two nights.Will definitely stay here again if we make the trip back!

I was so impressed....The place is tastefully decorated paying attention to the smallest detail, very clean and spacious rooms. The private beach was a nice surprise. I would definitely return and would choose this place hands down over the Keltic Lodge.

Location, location, location. Beautiful private cottages tucked in beside the Atlantic. Peaceful with amazing beach, ease of access, fire pit. No light pollution, stars shining bright. Comfortable bed's, bbq.
