Fort Moving

We were very pleased with the crew who moved us! They were very professional and hard working. The weather was miserable and the crew was quite personable. The crew was delayed by a truck breakdown but the time they arrived and left was completely acceptable !

I've worked for a fer a few moving company and fort moving is by far the best everyone that works there is great and really cares about what they do I'm only part time and hope to be full time with a team like this if I were to recommend a moving company to anyone it would hands down be fort moving

Very happy with the move within Alberta that was provided. Showed up with a good experienced crew who worked hard to pack/load and unload a household. James and his crew were top notch and would recommend. This work was done during the heat wave too which added concern but they came through.

I have badmouthed this company so very much and I continue to say to all that I need to write this review to protect others from using them. They showed up late but charged for the planned arrival time. Absolutely everything had some sort of damage. I had a friend that thankfully came to help. He said they were trying to stall it out to midnight. He had to jump in the truck. He said one guy had the dolly. They would put 3 boxes on, one guy would wheel it in the house while the other two waited for his return while being on their phones. I was busy emptying vehicles. He jumped in the truck and had to do his best to motivate them. How does that work for WCB coverage??? My bill was just under 2400.$ DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Nice Guys but USERS AND SUPER LAZY!!!!!

We absolutely loved Fort Moving. We had them move my grandma and great-aunt a few years ago and they had a huge heavy organ and a monstrous wall shelving unit and they were champs. We were so happy with them in that move that we had them move us Christmas Eve eve and again, they were amazing. Professional. Gentle on all our belongings. Fast. Efficient. Polite. Jovial. Great communicators.Our piano was insanely heavy - glad we hired 4 guys (was well worth it and N.E.C.E.S.S.A.R.Y.). The piano slipped off the skid - no fault of the men - and dented the wall a bit. They compensated us fairly without any hassle. Would DEFINITELY recommend them. They put up with a lot that day and never once complained. Not to mention that they had great camaraderie amongst the team which made them a hoot to be around. Our team was: Andy, Pat, Simon and Jim.(So to tell you how amazing they were, one of the guys actually broke his foot when they were lifting the piano into its place, off the skid, and it came down on his foot by accident. I right away wanted to rush him to hospital, but he insisted he was fine and finished another 2.5 hours of the job. Blew my mind. Tough crew.) Hope you are healing ok!

Highly recommend this company! I called several moving companies and while all their prices were comparable Fort Movers stood out at the very beginning with my first interaction with Gail. (I hope I remembered her name right). She was welcoming and professional and just plain likeable. She was well informed in regards to cost and man power etc. The movers were prompt, professional, friendly and very hard working. They went above and beyond, even offering to repair some furniture which was done immediately and well. Their attitudes were refreshing. hard workers who enjoy their job and we’re actually fun to deal with! Andy and Simon deserve a raise and my thanks.

Beware of Fort moversI recently has a very disappointing experience with Fort movers. We had bought a brand new house and wanted to hire professional movers to avoid dings in the walls as well as dirt and mud on our new white carpets.The day started off with finding out the original 2nd person for our move had been sick and the owner had to come help with the job. We were not offered another day to change our move to. The owner spent a lot of time on his phone as well as couldn’t even lift our mattress as well as other heavy items up the stairs. My partner and his friend had to do almost all of the heavy lifting as they were unable to which defeated the entire purpose of hiring movers. We also had to ask for them to put runners on the carpet to not get them dirty, thought this would be standard.2 hours into the job they took a break to go to Tim’s during our time. Extremely disappointed and was still charged almost $700 for this four hour move which lots was not spent actually moving.

We had a great experience with James and his crew, when they moved my senior mums belongings to a storage unit. They were professional and kept her smiling with their wit.Highly recommend them

Was very disappointed with this moving company. I had a box that was clearly marked VERY FRAGILE china cabinet and had several items broken in this box, stuff I can’t replace. They took several cigarette breaks, that I paid for. And I ended up paying over $250 more than what was quoted on the phone. On top of that when the worker called the boss to talk to him about it he was rude. They didn’t show up on time but charged me from the time they said they were gonna be there.
