I had a leather sofa in my basement that needed to be moved as I had sold the house. 4 groups of people, including movers, tried but couldn’t get it out of the basement. Dave at Starburst Upholstery methodically disassembled part of the couch, got it out of the basement, took it back to his shop & reassembled it like new, then returned it to me later that same afternoon. The cost was very reasonable and far less than had I destroyed the couch to remove it then bought a new replacement. Well worth the money. Dave and his helper were both polite, efficient and tidy, leaving no mess behind. Would recommend them to anyone.Update Aug 2020Moved into the new house, raccoons destroyed the cushions to my patio sofa necessitating new ones. I wanted the new ones to match some others and I called upon Dave to help. He put me in touch with a couple suppliers to find the covering material & foam for the seats. His suppliers were much less expensive than the ones I found on my own through other sources. Cheapest I could my material was $55/yd, his guy was $33/yd.Once I had my materials, I had Dave make the cushions. He did everything quickly & a perfect job matching the existing ones for style.I’ve recommended Dave to a high end contractor I know & have no hesitation recommending him to anyone else!

Amazing service! We bought a sectional that couldn't fit down our basement steps. Dave came in and removed all the fabric and cut the couch in half. He moved it to the basement, rebuilt it and reinforced it. Now the couch is like brand new! Excellent job! Thank you Dave.

I had a wonderful experience dealing with Dave. He did an awesome job reupholstering an armchair from the 90s which now looks modern and sleek. Quality fabric and excellent customer service. I wanted the chair before Thanksgiving and he exceeded my expectations. It was done in less than a week. He is honest and gave good advice on the type of fabric and colour. We purchased a couch that wouldn't fit up the stairs in our townhouse so we were referrred to call Dave and have him cut it in half so we could get it in the house. Dave was awesome to work with, and the finished product was amazing - you would never tell that it had been cut in half! Dave was incredibly accommodating throughout the process and took what was a very stressful time for us, and gave us excellent reassurance. Would definitely recommend!

We just received our upholstered pieces for our trawler. Starburst Upholstery did a beautiful job. The workmanship of the pieces (two settee's and two occasional chairs) was excellent, they were made exactly as designed and fit perfectly, no small feat considering nothing on a boat is square. I was really impressed with the professionalism and workmanship of Dave at Starburst Upholstery. He reupholstered a 1950s platform rocking chair for me. Communication throughout was clear. He did a superb job on the chair, completing the work in just three days. The price was more than fair. I highly recommend him.

I had purchased a queen-sized bedframe that was unable to make it up my homes staircase. I never thought cutting a bed-frame could work. Starburst Upholstery came to the rescue, cutting the bedframe in two and putting it back together. Starburst Upholstery is very professional, does fantastic work, and charges a fair price.
