I love it here. Smudging helps me calm and ground myself when I'm anxious and stressed out. As soon as I walk in the door, the whole place smells of sage. I love it. I paid a $15/year membership fee. Now I have full access to all thier programs and resources. I highly recommend the bnfc!

I been a member for years. Lucky enough to go here for many events and ceremonies. They have an amazing Pow Wow.

Friendly helpful staff, a place of healing and community.

I needed to find out information for someone who is getting out of prison and the girls behind the desk were so very helpful and went above and beyond to help find me the answers I was looking for to help make this persons transition from being incarcerated to back out in society to become a productive member of society...without help from organizations like this one and without the help and knowledge from the people that work at the desk or answer the phones it would make it extremely hard for those people who have made wrong choices to make the right ones so a big thank you to all at the Barrie Friendship Centre all the pamphlets and information certainly made a difference to my friend when getting his package ready to go before the parole board with your help he had all his ducks in a row and i's dotted and t's crossed and he got it !!!

I love this place! The staff make you feel extremely welcome and there are so many programs for the entire family. I have never felt more comfortable anywhere than I do here.

I've been in Barrie for about a week now. And this place has been so much help for me. Especially coming from where I am in my situation, I don't want to get to detailed. But Arlene is amazing, so much help to me and a great person all around. Going above and beyond to help out. This lady deserves a raise to say the least. Thank you so much.

One of the greatest places I've discovered. They do so much good for the community and the programs are free or very reasonable. I started taking the Okichitaw martial arts program which I never thought of doing at my age. My children and dad joined after and it's rare to be able to do something like that as a family.

Great place for indigenous knowledge and activities. The BFC staff are great and they now have Okichitaw classes here every Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00pm.
