Residence Inn by Marriott Montreal Downtown

I was staying here this weekend in a suite on the 21st floor. I strongly discourage anyone with mobility issues from staying at this hotel (see my last paragraph).First the positives:The room is lovely and very confortable with a nice view and the kitchenette is well equipped. The breakfast buffet was also great, very well run to help mange the high number of guests coming through. The staff at the front desk are also very friendly and courteous.Leaving a one star for “service” to refer to the facilities (not because of any employee interaction which were all positive) - both on Friday and today (Sunday) only one of the three elevators was functional. There was a long line up on the mezzanine to get back from the breakfast buffet to guests’ rooms. I ended up taking the stairs up because the wait was so long. I think it is unacceptable that guests have to wait 10 plus minutes each time they need the elevator. Not to mention hotel staff are waiting for this same elevator so often have to take the stairs in a 24 floor building. I would expect Marriott to treat both their guests and staff better than this. If the elevators are constantly breaking down, a more permanent fix is needed. In addition, the offsite parking is not very convenient as you have to leave the hotel to access it so I would not recommend this hotel to anyone driving here, at least if you need to use your car multiple times during your stay.

I recently stayed at a hotel in downtown Montreal and overall, I had a pleasant experience. The parking was located in a different building which was a bit inconvenient, but it was okay. My only suggestion would be for the hotel to have signs that direct guests from the parking to the back entrance of the hotel to make it easier to find. Also, I recommend not taking your bags to the car park, as it can be quite difficult to bring them back to the hotel from the car park.The breakfast provided by the hotel was good, with a decent selection of items. I enjoyed the convenience of the hotel's location, as it was close to everything downtown Montreal. The area had plenty of restaurants, shopping, and attractions, all within walking distance.Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in downtown Montreal. Just make sure to keep in mind the parking situation and not to take your bags to the car park.

Really liked this hotel. The room was perfect. I didn't stay long enough to use the kitchen, it was well furnished. The bathroom design is very good. I liked the modern shower stall. One small deficiency was that I had to call to have the sink plug repaired. They acted promptly. If I remember right the curtains did allow a bit of light at the edges, this would be my only negative. Breakfast was excellent, a nice bright spacious eating area. Hotel is only a few meters from the Peel metro station, excellent. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

This has to have been the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. My fiance and I have traveled a lot of places across Canada and the USA and this one was by far the best hotel.The only downsides is the parking(but it is Montreal after all) and the elevators are really tiny.Staff was great, room was super comfortable. Great views. Within walking distance of several great places to eat and shop.

Excellent hotels with fantastic service. Situated at the downtown just near the mount. Their breakfast seems to be popular as I always see crowds in the morning. They do have car parking,gym, parking facility. Nearby metro station, bus station and all the restaurants are easily accessible nearby.

We had a deluxe king suite on the 23rd floor. Staff was very friendly and of course breakfast was fantastic. More attention could have been made to the room as the door to the bedroom didn't latch. 2 elevators worked instead of the 3 they have. That did make it difficult to navigate going out during busy times due to the limited space on the 2 functional elevators.

Stayed for four nights this past weekend.THE GOOD: Staff was amazingly friendly and was able to accommodate my arriving a couple hours before check in time. Parked at their parking lot (not truly theirs but they have a billing arrangement), CAD$29/day. Very convenient. Also very close to the subway entrance which is clean and efficient. Decent breakfast though it gets crowded quick. Room was clean and nice.THE BAD: (None of this is really all that bad.) Elevators are slow, creaky, and tiny. There are only three and one was out of service. It was a lengthy wait if you were on a high floor. Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbor clearly. Massive skyscraper construction across the street which starts early. Blackout curtains had gaps and were not very effective.All of that's kind of nitpicky though, it was still a wonderful stay and I'll definitely go back.

Do not park at this hotel parking. The Vehicle theft is very popular here. Our car got stolen at their parking lot.When we stayed at our room, someone opened the room door without knocking. I am concerned about safety and security issue at this hotel.However, stuff at the restaurant was very efficient and helpful.(Add)Hotel provides their guests partnered parking lot. It’s just across the street.They have restaurant ( where breakfast provided).

My new truck was stolen from this hotel parking. They contract with impark as contractor. Hotel staff are the one you will charge you for the parking and tell exactly where to go and park by giving you the printout as attached in the pictures. I stayed in room 404. Hotel supervisor confirmed that many vehicles have been stolen from this property before. Police is unable to help and mentioned to speak to my insurance who also mentioned that the vehicle is almost on its way to exit the country by port. The camera quality is not good confirmed by the police as they have seen many case at this hotel. Seems like insider gig.
