Wanted a dog, prepared for years and did research, I am a responsible pet owner. I was told the dog i was interested in would be a good pet, so I went and bought all necessities and wanted to pick her up the next day. Lady on the phone then told me dog is gone (which is good they found a home) but was very rude when she said I wouldn't have been allowed the dog anyways as it was meant for a farm. I explained that the employee said she was a city dog, she called me a liar and said oh well. All in all, staff don't seem to be on the same page/don't have the best knowledge about the animals. Also, the lady who I'm assuming runs it, is extremely rude. I ended up buying a dog instead of adopting because of your conduct. I'm one of MANY people who have had a bad experience with her. If not for this lady, I would have rated higher.

I couldn't see the adoptable dog's.But that's only because I did not fill out my adoption application completely.Any shelter needs support from community. Volunteers, and assistance.Help a cause that struggles with their budget.It's the same story in every province.

I LOVE our SPCA.They so love the animals, and work so hard to get each one a good home. they are always friendly, helpful and so considerate. So glad they are here. Bless you all

A lot of animals get dumped near our house, or just end up wandering here. We do what we can through crowdfunding and out-of-pocket, but when there's just too many for us to handle the Yorkton SPCA has always stepped up to the plate. They've helped us reunite a lost dog, found homes for the kittens of our local feral cat (who we've trapped and spayed), taken an unknown un-neutered male cat, and a dumped dog. The staff are friendly and happy to help whenever we need them.I appreciate you guys! Thanks for all that you do for the animals in our communities.

Amazing staff with selfless compassion for the animals in their care.

What the establishment lacks in physical size is more than made up for by the size of the staffs hearts. One of the most passionate animal shelters I've visited, and the staff is most knowledgeable. Don't be shy to pop in and make yourself a new furry friend!

Caring compassionate people in charge of the animals there. We got one great dog from the SPCA in January, 2010. Boo died suddenly May 18th, therefore, we are now searching for another dog to love and care for.

You can really help the animals by making a donation. This place runs almost entirely on donations and they care for so many homeless animals.

Found an abused dog, this SPCA wouldn’t take them without returning them to their abusers.Useless

Caring staff. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. This week will be our 2nd adoption through them. The staff work hard to keep the pets healthy. Would highly recommend. We're appreciative of the work they do and the care they show the animals that have been brought in.
