L'Amour Nails (Devonshire Mall)

The owner was very rude from beginning to end. She was too busy on her phone to ask if I needed anything or why I was there.. Finally.. she asked. (All I needed is to remove my gel). I wanted to give a little break to my nails. She made me wait 43 minutes and put ahead of me people that was arriving after me that wanted full sets. I told her I thought was very unfair what she was doing, She said: OKOKOK go to the back. (very rude). I felt very unwelcome, wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYONE. I received horrible service just because I wanted to remove my gel.

I am not the type of person to typically write negative reviews because I try to understand where the other person might be coming from but the experience I had here was so awful. I Booked an appointment for a fill at this salon and had the worst experience I have ever had getting my nails done. This woman seemed extremely uninterested and I tried to make conversation and was getting no where. The little things that I usually ignore - like pointing instead of using her words to tell me where to put my hands, and the lack of conversation aren’t usually enough to make me mad.(even though she was talking and smiling at everyone else except me) However I asked for a specific photo to be recreated - a pink nail with a white faded ombré and showed a photo - this woman said no and claimed she could only do ombre with clear and she doesn’t use colours. (Not hard to use a colour but instead of causing a scene and making it a fight I decided to swallow my idea and just go for light pink) When she was doing my nails she burned my skin several times and filed them inconsistently. One nail wasn’t even filed straight and when I pointed it out she filed it down so much that the difference between the two are extremely noticeable because she didn’t go back to match the other hand (I didn’t even look until I left because I just wanted to get out of there as soon as I could). When I mentioned that they were patchy she rolled her eyes at me and said “I’ve already done three coats”, however it was a really sheer pink that needed at least four coats to make it solid... making me feel like she just wanted to get rid of me, and didn’t do another coat to fix it - just pulled out the top coat and sent me on my way. By far the worst 34$ I’ve ever spent in my life and I do not intend on returning there ever again.It may sound silly but getting my nails done is always something that takes me away from the stresses of life and makes me feel beautiful, this experience honestly just made me upset and ruined my night because I was so irritated at how I was treated.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS NAIL SALON TO ANYONE. My daughter and I are very upset. We have been going to this location numerous times now. Recently we had some issues with nails falling off 3 days after having them done. I called and was really nice about it and the woman asked if my daughter could come in right away. She went on her own with a friend. They took pics of her hands and nails missing. As she was taking the pictures she was laughing and talking to the other girls making my daughter feel very uncomfortable. She was charged $1 per nail that was missing...which was fine. My daughter was happy.The following day I went to them cause my one nail fell off. I was told to come back tomorrow. I replied I don't have time to come back next week I'm so busy with work. One lady yelled Well we don't have time for you, we are busy come back tomorrow. I walked away. SO here we are today and my daughter lost 4 nails again and just had the done 4 days ago. I called today and asked to speak to a manager on vacation. I left my info so let’s see if I get a call. SO NOT HAPPY with the way this was handled.

Most horrid nail salon experience ever! I almost walked out with my nails being half done. I had to cream my own feet after my pedi. My nails, got cut way to short, crocked, and she rushed me and was not pleasant at all. When she asked me if I was ok, I simply said no, I would like them thinner.She then started talking about me with a very hasty tone and was rough with my hands. It took everything in me no to smack her one since I literally felt like I was being assaulted. I got up and asked if there was a problem. I quickly had to cool my jets so I didn’t end up on the front page of the windsor star. They were rough, rude, unprofessional, aggressive and double booked me. They work very fast, not efficient and try to get through as many appointments as possible lacking total customer appreciation and care! I wish I would have read the reviews prior to going. Please, please, do not go there!!! :(

Super impressed with this place. Fast, friendly and great service. Nancy did an amazing job and really took the time to make sure my nails were perfect! Will be returning!

I’ve always come here to get my nails done but after what I have experienced the last two times I can’t support this business anymore. The last time I was here I requested a simple design and asked the nail tech if she could do it, she seemed very confident and said that she could after she was done it looked awful and I was very upset after I left. Those nails didn’t even last me a week and a half before they started breaking. So I came back today to have the remaining nails removed because it was starting to hurt. The nail tech that removed them for me today was very disrespectful. She tried removing my nails with another plastic nail before she even dipped them in acetone. I told her that it was hurting me but she kept doing it. I finally take away my hands because she obviously doesn’t care. She left and a second nail tech came by, she was very kind and removed my nails properly unlike the first lady. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Safe to say I won’t be returning here anymore.

My daughter and I visited this location on Friday, June 9 to get our nails done for a wedding. We both got shellac, as I figured that would last much longer than regular nail polish for my daughter. I wasn't expecting it to last a week or two like it would on an adult, but did expect it to last for a few days at least.Before my daughter went to bed on Friday the shellac on three of the nails had already peeled off, and two more by morning. This is absolutely unacceptable, and her nails clearly were not prepped properly. Her finger nails underneath were still dirty. We were unable to go back to bring this to their attention, as we were both a part of the wedding party and don't live in Windsor. Extremely disappointed!

I have had bad experiences with the quality preiously but it had been a year so i was hoping the UV lamps would have been fixed. I was burned a few times by the nail tec but that didn't cause her to be more cautious or slow down. The shellac was peeling a couple days later which doesn't happen at the other places I go to. The shop was slow so I'm not sure why she rushed through and provided such a poor quality experience. The shape of the nails was done well or I would give 1 star.

Highly recommend this nail salon!! I got an acrylic set that was done so nice and thin. They had all the chrome powders that you would want. Best nails I’ve had so far!!!
