I called in to book an appointment as I am interested in hair transplants. I am in my 20’s and healthy, but have had a widows peak since I was young and wanted to correct it for a more even hairline. I was told by the receptionist that Dr. Vezina only does this procedure on males and not females. When I asked why, she didn’t have an answer for me. Based on my research and consults with other doctors, this is an acceptable procedure for both genders. I can see that with any surgery, underlying health conditions, expectations, etc are all factors in determining if someone may be eligible for a treatment or not, but that should be discussed and determined through a consultation with the doctor and not written off on a initial phone call to book a consult. Just rubbed me the wrong way and doesn’t seem right.
