Place was very dirty and unsanitary. Super rude and disrespectful workers, laughed when customer asked simple questions. Speaking native language and not English and laughing. Seemed like they were talking about the customer. The service was overpriced and bad quality. If I could give lower than 1 star I would. Do not go here. worst experience ever. Would not recommend. Stay away.

Lovely, clean location! The employees are super friendly and pay close attention to detail. Last time I did shellac and it lasted ~6 weeks without any chipping, this time I got a bio gel refill and am super happy! Will definitely go again!

Found this place via Google bc of the highly rated reviews. Jessica did such a great job on my French bio gel. She was also very helpful and sweet. I've never done bio gel before and was told it would last longer than shellac. I plan to return.

I've gone to many nail salons but this one is still the best. They never miss! My gel nails always come out looking amazing. I've moved out of the city but still come back just for the quality of work. Thanks Solar Nails!

I have been going to this place and actually enjoyed how lovely my nails would look because they did a great job. A while back, I made a phone appointment specifically asking for someone that I always ask for, and I changed the timing to make sure I end up with that person. Anyways to make the story short, after waiting for about 30mins, I told them it’s fine, and I can do it with any, but of course as long as that person is knowing what they are doing. I mean I do dip nails and pay a lot, so I expect to get my nails done properly. I ended up with someone that was completely new at it, and I didn’t want to make it a problem because I tend to shy away from such things. Anyways I wasn’t really happy, but I thought it’s ok. Anyways it kept bothering me that the finishing wasn’t too well, and I kept thinking that I should say something, so I did call after the weekend and talked to someone and explained to them that I didn’t feel the job was done correctly. So I was told to come in and have them take a look, which they did and my person did my nails again which was great! But today, I called to book an appointment for Thursday and asked for the specific person, and after she asked me who I was, I could hear her whispering and talking to him, and then she says oh he’s busy. So I said I am pretty flexible if it’s ok Wednesday and Friday and she completely shut me out saying no he’s busy. I felt like he didn’t want me anymore, and that was so rude. I mean I never complain about something, even though I know I have a right to, but the one time I do, things just go bad? Seriously! So all I said was that I will just go find someone else, and yes I did book with another salon.I mean yes I do agree with a few people here that have complained about the rudeness and coldness, because I felt it with me, and once with a customer that came in… she was talked to in a rude way, which kind of made me feel very uncomfortable.Won’t be going there ever again.

I have been going to Solar Nail Salon for over 2 years. Jessica has always given me the best shellac manicure and is very sweet! I always enjoy my time with her.

Great nail techs. They really care about making sure you’re happy with your nails. You can bring in photos of what you’re looking to do and they’ll make it happen. Kevin is awesome and will check in multiple times throughout your manicure to make sure you’re happy with the length, shape and colour. Best experience I’ve had with bio-gel nails.

I get my nails done very frequently for my job and need to go around every two weeks. The first time I came to this salon the one older lady did a great job. The second time however I had such a bad experience. They put me with a younger woman who clearly had no clue what she was doing. I had to ask her three times during my pedicure to properly push the cuticles back and to scrape my heels. She painted all over my skin around my toenails and then only painted half my toenail. She also cut them all on an angle and when I pointed this out she continued to cut shorter and shorter until almost no nail was even left.Then onto the finger nails. She didn’t file the nails properly and they have indents and chips along the edges, she also told me she could do design and when she did a simple heart it looked horrible. I asked her to fix it and she said she would without fixing it. I didn’t realize how bad they were until I got home when they were closed. I called the next day and told the store owner what happened and asked if I could please be with the lady who had serviced me the first time and he said no problem. I said I really did not want to have that same girl as she did such a bad job. I go back in and they put me back with her, when I questioned it saying when I called you told me I’d get someone else. They pretended they didn’t know what I was talking about. They kept coming up to me saying ‘ so you didn’t like the colour?’ And I had to keep saying no you only painted half my toe and made my fingers look like a 7 year old painted them.Seriously will not be going back after that.

What quality nails! Came in Sept 7th for dip nails, and three weeks later I haven’t had a single chip, or lifting! Incredible. I don’t have the funds to get my nails done regularly, but the price was fair for such an incredible job. I will absolutely be back the next time I have an event. I wish I had gotten the name of the lady who did them as I’d really like to return to her, but none the less very very happy!!
